Anyone who thinks they can pick any algo and make money is an idiot.
However, they are likely not as foolish as someone who never tries because of fear of failure.
Commercial algos work and generate regular returns. This is a fact, but it takes a lot of set up costs and skilled people.
Is it easy to code a winning algo with PRT? No, but is it possible and then possible someone will sell it? Yes.
The trick is avoiding the snake oil salesmen of which there are plenty.
my feedback on the MP is that at the very least the screenshots put up MUST be recent. You should enforce the screenshot tp be within at least a week when it is allowed on MP.

The screenshots posted AT LAUNCH only go up until November 2020. I contacted them on Monday asking for recent results and lets be honest, at launch day, they should be all over this. Their response? None.
Conclusion? Recent results suck – this seller should not be allowed to sell in my opinion.

Well, we agree completely on this. Anything in the MP should have to put in current backtests results at time of listing, anything else is a joke tbh.
i would go on to say they should also be updated monthly, then the MP would have more credibility with those who dont believe bought algos can make money.

I clicked on the GBP/USD, and based on the pic with the text “LIVE TRADE DATA”, does that mean the system during the latest 14 months have made around 2700 NOK? And it costs 100€/month to rent it? So with app. 1€ = 10 NOK and the same exposure I would have made around 270 – 1400 = -1130€ during this time?
