Latent gain not showing

Opening a position the profit/loss does not show in the chart.
I checked the setup and but still no amount showing.
Enable/disable the tick box “Latent gain” but still now show. Other tick boxes info shows on the chart when ticked/un-ticked.

Have to use the IG web interface to see what the current profit/loss is.

Any ideas why or a solution to this?

As attached 1st image do you mean? see at the 2 red arrowheads.
If Yes, the Settings are shown on 2nd image at the red arrowhead.

I would hint at this one.
In combination with clicking what you see in the 2nd screenshot, all trading data is hidden, but appears when clicking that again and the 3rd screenshort shows.

Ah that. But that is a bug I have complained about for years (really). This is solved for that open position(s) when you restart PRT.
At a next new trade for that session, it happens again.

This is so since V12 (V13 I don’t know) and only for PRT-IG.

Did you try clicking on the red and green arrow top right as PeterSt shows in his 2nd screenshot … if you click this to hide all positions and then click again to show positions … Gain may show, let us know?
Btw I have never had any trouble with showing individual Positions Gain / Latent Gain etc on the Chart.

GraHal, this might be because you don’t run into sufficient new trades (which must be in Live – not Demo). Thus with say 5-10 new trades per day, soon it will fail (first few might be fine). Also, if you restart the platform because of the 18 hour thing, then it is reset automatically.
*All assumed that this is Andre’s issue anyway.

I myself have been trying for ages and whatever tricks to reset it other than restarting PRT, but I never could manage.
And PRT never could solve it. 🙁

How about 10 trades of 2 positions each all at the same time on Live, even 15 x 2 at times?
Above is my scalping method … scale in and scale out. This regularly amounts to over 40, sometimes up to 80+ trades per day.
Cannot even be that I am in and out quick because if the trades go wrong then I might leave several trades (5 x 2 for example) open for days (weeks even since Trump!).
Long shot (in the dark!), but what font size are you and Andre using?
My fonts on PRT Platform are set at font size 9.

Andre, another idea … try deselecting all the options for displaying Positions Gain etc, then close the Settings panel, then select another Instrument, then select your original Instrument then open Settings and select the Latent Gain then close Settings and check if Latent Gain shows against the open position?

See att screenshot from Demo account (demo as platform just to show error) but see the same on live account.
As test the att image – same error on Live & Demo.

Enabling/disabling all the various options while a trade is open. All ticked boxes reacts as expected except the profit/loss.
Exit and Enter PRT again – no change in the error.
Font size is default.
I trade often enough for the system to stay “alive”

ProRealtime Ver 12.0 – 17.0.7
Updated 4 June 2026.

As last resort guess my next step is to uninstall PRT and setup all again.

Well weird!
I just opened a trade on the Japan 225 cash $1 in case there is something weird.
I know you have the problem on all Instruments, but I had to try it!

Live an Demo accounts has the same error.
Did test on Live again with few small positions.

“GraHal” your screenshot shows it’s only my PRT that has the error.
Seems I will have to reinstall.
