ive been trading for a few years – ive only actually started learning properly over the last 18 months – look at my backtest results. i have been using PRT for like 2 weeks now –

i have various strategies and im just too hungry

and that algo was not a fluke, check out this other one

A system backtest with 9 or 14 trades will not tell you much about the robustness of the system. I do not run systems with less than 300 or 500 trades in the backtest.

Well thats not even possible with pro real time or atleast the version i have

    its all good tho

    Hi Rich

Add your Strategy code on here and we’ll have a look at it. Use the Insert PRT Code button so the code is formatted.

We’re all here to help each other get rich! 🙂

Looks great, however I can only strongly suggest that you post the code here, and use the strength of the forum to determine the resilience of your strategy. For eksample- how many units are you back testing with? did you include spreads?

    cheers Kasper

    #28830

Yes i included spreads, and the exact spreads fpr those indicies i traded with..also i used 30 min chart and 1 hr chart…not sure of how many units but one backtest is 6 weeks and one is 3 weeks…i would love to backtest these strategies over years but aparantley prt can only backtest the time in the charts

    #28837

Change the unit to 100000- left of the TF pull down menu. it will give the largest timeframe span. 1 H should at least backtest to around nov 2012

Best not to get too excited, most of us on here are Backtest millionaires but with a lot less in our live accounts 🙂
