    Hi,

I have created two point and figure charts and linked them to watchlist.  One is 50×3 the other 25×1.  When I draw a trend line or any other drawing on either chart the drawing mirrors on the other chart.  I understand that the charts are linked but I would like to analyze the two charts separately and do not want the drawings to mirror.

Any ideas how to fix this please?

    Thanks

    Tommy

    Hi tommy…

Not sure I’m following the way your using PRT because I don’t use that way, however if your question evaluates to follows.

How can I have two charts, same timeframe, same instument, linked or not, and draw a trend line on one chart and it ‘not’ appear on the other, and vice versa?

The only way I can think of is to have each chart on a different  ‘Chart Study’.

There could be other ways, I don’t know.

I’m not sure, depending on PRT package your using  Chart Sudies could be limited to 10, however I think that is related to each instrument which could be plenty.

If you do this and change instument, you will need to create different Chart studies for each instuments you change to.

Delete ‘Chart Study’s via  [Display visible object list] which magically turns into ‘Object and study management’.  Deleting a Chart Study deletes all of the drawn object on charts using that study!

Warning!  ‘SAVE’ before ‘DELETING’ only way back is to reload workspace, which would be to last save, any experimenting, best to ‘SAVE AS’ a new workspace and do it there till your happy, then could ‘save as’ to prior workspace name.

    regards druby
