    😀

money-wise it does not affect me so much, that one position mentioned. PRT shows it closed with 0 profit/loss, IG shows that position open with currently some +70EUR, trying to close it manually failed, and IG helpdesk lady which I reached on phone disappeared in the middle of the call before closing the position. before some serious damage is done, I did shut down now completely all CFD autotrading algos, even I have to tell, that I am trading CFDs with absolutely minimal positions and with minimal capital required for these few algos.

    The issues definitely aren’t over…

After restarting my algo, a (virtual) position of four (!) contracts was suddenly closed with a €263.20 loss…

Besides the fact that I was never in the market with four contracts, this position doesn’t exist anywhere—neither in PRT nor on IG…

I’m shutting everything down for now…

Wird PRT auch die Mindestkontraktgrößen anpassen?

Ich habe es gerade live auf dem SP500 überprüft.

    IG-Mindestgröße: 0,2 Kontrakte

    PRT-Mindestgröße: 1 Kontrakt

    @Nicolas

I would be interested to know.

IG contacted me by phone and then emailed me to explain the evolution and the timeframe for having the platform functioning as before. I’m attaching the email:

    “Hi Mauro,

An update: we need to send PRT a hierarchy file with the new exchange and epic data. Since the exchanges available on PRT are already at their limit, once the new IDs are received, the obsolete or rarely used ones will need to be replaced. The implementation on the ProRealTime side will take about a day; once the file is processed, the issue will be resolved and everyone will be able to use the platform normally.”

At the moment, they haven’t told me whether ProRealTime can do this now or whether they will have to wait until the markets close (weekend). If there are any updates, I’ll let you know.

    Mauro

At sorting out things from my side for PRT, I just found that after Saturday night and somewhere Monday Morning, I too (like JS told) had a position opened. But, this must have sprung from the 10 Pending I found Sunday morning and which Pending (order) disappeared just after noon on Saturday (I posted about this event).
And thus minutes ago I found this (10-) position running, which never ran on Friday Evening. It must have been opened from the Pending Order for it, while the System and Pending order thus was removed after noon (1 am or so) on Saturday.

I can’t find any prove anywhere of this position being opened, nor (thus) when this occurred.

    Big fun ? maybe not.

The market is now available in ProRealTime, but it is not possible to backtest it or launch the system in ProOrder AutoTrading

Meanwhile I have been called by IG. “The Autotrading systems stopped, and we inform you that you must manually deal with your positions”.

    Anyone else ?
Or is this only because I let my Long positions stay for the time being ?

    email from IG (13:42):

As part of our recent EPIC migration, we would like to inform you that your US Tech 100 position on the ProRealTime (PRT) platform has been affected. Specifically, the automated trading functionality linked to this position is no longer operating as expected.

As a result, manual management of the position is now required, rather than relying on your previously automated strategy.
To ensure that your trading strategies remain aligned and effective, we kindly ask you to:

    • Check the system settings on your PRT account

    • Review your current positions to confirm they are functioning as intended

    • Make any necessary adjustments to your strategies or settings in PRT

If you encounter any issues or require assistance in managing your position, please do not hesitate to contact us. One of our dealers will be happy to assist you.

    Kind regards,
    Tauya

It can’t be right that when IG transitions to a new infrastructure and order management system, there has been no communication with PRT about it… IG takes absolutely no responsibility and refuses to discuss any claim… In short: tough luck, money gone…

IG takes absolutely no responsibility and refuses to discuss any claim
(emphasis is mine) Is that really so ? And if so, what is their argumentation ?

I’d like to hear if it works differently for you… Their argument is that you could have managed your positions manually…

Is anyone in contact with ProRealTime or IG?
Why is the market data still not available, and why can’t we start our systems yet?
Are they aware of the issue, or do they believe everything is functioning as normal?
Does anyone have a clear update on the situation?

I have read that as well. I was just wondering if anyone else has received any further information, since that update was more than 7 hours ago. At that time, Mauro mentioned it wasn’t clear whether the implementation could be done during the day or if it would have to wait until the weekend. I was just thinking if anyone has since received more details.

It’s of course frustrating that this has happened. I’m not blaming anyone here, but I guess that’s why I’m a bit impatient to hear any updates.
