    I commented, as have others…

    I’ve emailed too.

    No response. Nothing? THIS WAS 12 DAYS AGO.

    I don’t understand this situation, how is it possible to let client like this… we pay for a service that is not stable and worse and worse…

    2 days, 3 days,… but now we are talking about a week… Make a roll back on your package in production !

    And buy some Apple computer for the tester, it’s incredible to face with so many problems and no answer or communication.

    PRT honestly has no consumer support at all…

    Add this mess with the scrolling issue to my on going issue with saving PRT platform data. Yes, I know,  hard to believe that the most basic function on any computer software – its ability to save – is not working on my platform but that is the ongoing reality for me, to the point where I wonder if it isn’t tine to change vendors???

    I cannot work like this.

    It is highly disruptive and excessively time consuming. The amount of time I have to spend going and checking PRT systems code against saved Apple Text Edit notes of the systems is too much.

    For example I logged in this morning only to find all the settings for a system that I copied into a PRT systems notes were missing and the text that was in there that I had deleted last night was still there. Frankly its ridiculous… Luckily I had the Apple Text Edit notes version already saved but my point is simple:

    If there are no fixes, what is the point of using  — what I feel to be one of the best s/ware trading platforms available — PRT anymore?

    Hi GraHal, the save issue has been going on for months. Never know if it will save the last version of my platform. This morning I found out. Imagine launching a system that was profitable when you last used it and but it’s not when you next use it? #Nightmare

    The 202 “update,” and non scrolling issue is just the “proverbial icing on the cake…”

    Is it really time to move… ?

    I’ve been asking myself that question every day particularly when I am as annoyed as I am today. I’m already with Saxo Bank (but I don’t rate their platform). If I could find something as good as Ameritrade’s Think or Swim platform in the UK I’d probably move, which is a pity because I think PRT could be world class… if they’d just fix these time consuming never ending problems.

    I saw recently disconnections, don’t know if it was the demo or not. Exiting the platform will also result in a loss of work. The swipe issue is my biggest one, but manageable. Your issues seem way bigger!

    Never know if it will save the last version of my platform.

    Do you ALWAYS go File, Quit AND click YES to Save??

    Also I think most of us have got into the good habit of doing above every 15 or 30 mins or so anyway. I took me ages to discipline myself and I still forget at times … esp if I am not in a good mood anyway! 🙂

    I find after I have Quit PLUS Yes to Save then log back in that everything is  snappier / quicker for a while … backtests everything works quicker …  then odd things start happening again after a while … like the latest with me is when I click on ‘Details’ … I don’t get the Detailed Report. Quit and log back in and all is fine again … for a while!!

    Just a few thoughts as I feel for you … we may have a kindred spirit!? 🙂

    I do two saves because of the unreliability of the platform.

    To close the platform I do an Apple+S first (and I do this whilst I work) then Apple+Q and click the button saying “would like to lose all your work when you log back in.”

    When the save issues started after their last update/or Apples in Oct 2019, I found the “solution” was to save and log out every 15 mins and log back in. Who needs that…?
    When I return to full time trading, this platform with its problems, as is for me, couldn’t handle my style of discretionary fast forex scalping or rather it’d drive me nuts having something not working or I had to keep rebooting. Just not practical. Better suited to positional traders who want to take a few trades and hold for months at a time.

    Memory, yes I have a “light” template because I overloaded the last one with with way too many charts and indicators.

    Funny you should mention that (Details), there are a few new bugs recently: When you click to open indicators or systems from the chart the window takes way too long to open. I also notice that with the delete button (eg to delete an indicator) I’m often clicking twice now on delete because it’s so slow to bring up the dialog box ,although my internet and ethernet connection is fast. Also when you click on the PRT icon in the top right of the screen to reveal and hide the app, (because this is the only app I’ve ever used that you can’t move between desktops by dragging it’s windows), when it comes back half the charts are missing, so you have to keep clicking on it but it’s slow to eventually get them to all reappear. The experience with PRT has just got worse and worse over the last year. Not much point using it anymore other than testing ideas.

    I had already raised an official complaint over a year ago about the lack of PRT support and IG’s invisible pricing structure — related to whether you trade “enough” each month to qualify for free access to PRT or have to pay the £30 / month fee. (I pay because of family matters that have led me to have to take a break from live trading). The bottom line is that unless you’re trading above IG’s “invisible monthly trade size limit” you won’t get full support. In fact IG’s Compliance and IG tech suggested that it was my system that was at fault… So apparently buying the most expensive, powerful and fastest laptop computer on the market from the biggest company in the world was a mistake? I can assure you I had 1/100th of the problems I have with PRT when compared to using Trading Blox software that I bought and tried. IG considered I had too many support requests… I’m just not financially important to them (despite having £250,000 t/over on my trading account which would have earned them considerable commission). I’ll admit I’ve made mistakes that could have been sorted out without a support ticket but who hasn’t?

    Thanks. I bet there are  a lot of other people experiencing these issues too but just aren’t as active or as vocal about it. With PRT it appears all we get is silence because they are prioritising their resources to live side clients? That’s an oversight. How do they not know that traders like me here on the demo might not have more financial resources than the clients on the live side? I’m sitting on a considerable amount of equity (remember that stock I told you spent one summer churning £50k up and down? That was 2001 GraHal and I held on to it. The companies turnover is now €160m/yr). I’ve wanted to use some of that money and have been biding my time whilst matters on the home front take their natural course.  When they do then I’ll put it into these amazing ML Strategies… just it doesn’t now look like it will be with PRT. After what I’ve had to deal with platform wise since last October, I’m not sure that I’d ever now feel comfortable trusting my money with this platform. What if something goes wrong? How likely am I to get timely support and a solution? I hope that PRT can prove me wrong, but they have to earn my trust, not the other way round. Life is stressful enough without knowingly adding to it. It would be a shame to go and I haven’t decided yet, but life, as I’m reminded daily, is short and there has to be a better solution.

    PRT reached out to me and assured me that they are aware of the Apple/Macbook scrolling issues and will be fixing it.
