Hi, does ProRealTime offer the ability to view stocks in a watchlist via a thumbnail view? Or is there a plan to include something like it?

An example of what I mean is below (this is taken from Vinviz)
Something like this would allow for much faster manual watchlist scannings.

    Thanks

Do not embed files in your post, as this slows down the loading of pages.

Use the SELECT FILE to attach them, instead.

    Thank you 🙂

Sure. You can make them as you want. Adding one will take 10 seconds at most. Replacing one will take as long as you can type the ticker. 🙂
(I did not try my best to make them exactly like yours)

Got you. Thanks for the tip. I can’t seem to know how to edit my post otherwise I would try that.

    Thanks for replying, PeterSt.

Is that a Template you refer to? I once had a template that I created which had many panels (tickers) which fitted the screen, but I couldn’t really scroll up/down my watchlist to repopulate the panels (which comprised the template – if that makes sense).

    I edited it.

Yes, I suppose so. One of them contains all you like to see for data (like TimeFrame, indicators used) and the others ones you copy from that. I would call that a template, yes.

Repopulate them from clicking in a (Screener ?) list is possibly something I would be capable of, but I don’t think anything was made for that explicitly (and therefor it would be awkward-ish). So to be honest, these are not thumbnails as such, but they are so easy to change for (instrument) content, that I myself regularly use it like that. Also, drag them larger and they grow from thumbnails to “charts” as such. You could also trade from them, if you’d want.

I understand. But notice that with some smart overlaying, you can squeeze much more on the screen than what would normally fit. Just allow for clickable (selection) areas. The attachments tries to show an example. Both TSLA and NVDA can be selected always this way. Two charts almost in the space of one.

Thanks very much, PeterSt. I’ll take a look this evening and if I have any questions I’ll come back here.

    Thanks again 🙂

Hi Peter, coming back to this one if I may as I have just been watching a video in which someone uses TD2000 to cycle through his watchlists and he has four charts on the screen where each chart is a company from his watchlist. So four companies are being shown at a time (on a daily I believe).

This is what I want to achieve with ProRealTime. Is that possible?

    Thanks

That’s possible, open your watch list, click on an instrument, it will open the char, then duplicate it 4 times and set 4 different timeframes. Then all the subsequent selection in the watch list will change the instrument in the 4 charts.

What Nicolas just said. But then give each of them a dedicated “Link” color, such as Red. Next assign that same color to the List you want to use for a source (2nd attachment). Et voilá. Now for each instrument you select in that List, your 4 charts will open.
What is in the List is up to yourself again. Like your special Watch List.

Does that what you want ?
