Some .itf Files Downloaded from New PRC Site Will Not Import into PRT

    Certain files which I download to my PC and then try to Import into PRT produce the error message attached.


    Same happens / same error message if I try and drag and drop direct into PRT.


    I have documented all my steps to try and cure / sort this Issue and so if you wish to know the full details / background, please read posts on the links below and then read subsequent posts of mine on respective Topics.

    I had the same issues on certain files, not all of them. And strangely only when importing into IG PRT V12, but not from PRT SOFT V12 or V13.

    While there is an investigation going on at IT-Finance, please re-try with these fresh ITF files attached. I made some changes in the way files are uploaded and downloaded, it might help! will see … 🙂

    Both files download to my PC and then import into PRT successfully.


    However PRT sees either file as same as the other file and I get the message attached.

    Above happens whichever file is Imported from my PC first.

    that’s normal since the file name is not the same as the code name and both files have the same code name.

    Now let’s try with this new fresh export of the Ichimoku scalp file, from PRT SOFT V12. Direct import from my computer drive into PRT IG V12 has no issue.

    Yes your latest file ….NewExport.itf imports from my PC into PRT successfully.

    I’m curious … what is PRT SOFT V12?

    This is the original, direct version, without any modifications added for specific brokers; the one you get on https://www.prorealtime.com

    Good news!

    We have found the source of the problem.

    It only affects IG users (more specifically, users of the application launcher currently available for IG) running Windows.


    The fix should be online by Monday morning.

     I’ll let you know as soon as it’s done.

    Hello, the patch was successfully sent to IG production this morning. Restart platform to get the lastest build. Have a good day 😉
