    I want to know, but first I need to know how the walk forward module works! 🙂

    @Matriciel,

    I noticed that the electricity sector and the fixed line communications sector are “for closing only”. This means that you can not open new positions and

    that IG only closes existing positions. Don’t know if IG replaces it with new contracts. We had that earlier with platinum and they replaced that with

    futures with an expiring date.

    Hi Guys

    In Italy the research of instrument generate the same problem. I think that we must comunicate isin/code instead of the name for each template.

    Searching “service daide” I’ve find this is instrument with the following results in the attached file, is it the same of “service daide”?.

    “It seems easier to look for EA , than to go to mushrooms” .-)

    Thanks at all

    @Patrick,

    That’s a good point. I did not have time to get involved.

    @ Ale,

    Apparently, it’s the same market. The results are approximately identical as well as the graph.

    If this is the same sectors maybe its easier to use the english names?

    Hi Erik

    unfortunately IG UK it’s different from IG Italy; in the IG italian web page there isn’t the “sector division”  under “other market ” menu.

    @ Matriciel, Thanks again for this idea.
    As there are still many sectors remaining for now, this strategy can be extended.

    One question, How did you determine the seasonality? By checking every season whether it is profitable?

    @ O-Jay8,

    That’s right, I tested every monthly seasonality for each sector. I kept the most affordable so that there is a good profitability.

    @ Matriciel,
    Nice work, that took you while then. Thank you for sharing.

    When I find some time I will start with some other sectors as well.

    If you find interesting sectors, do not forget to share them! 🙂

    @Matriciel,

    I optimized two sectors based on Reiners latest contribution for the second part of June.

    These have reasonable drawdown. They were both triggered the last couple of years. Don’t know if it works or if they will rejected because they have not 24 hours per day prices.

    Maybe you have experience with that.

    Thanks.

    Hi Patrick,

    I don’t know the instruments for sectors.
    I have simply tested Reiner’s strategy in this area.
    I realized that it worked so I wanted to share it with everyone.

    Thanks.

    Hi guys! Just discovered this thread.

    Has anyone tried any the systems? I saw that Service Support  should have triggered in April and May. Can anyone confirm?

    Best regards, David

    Here are most sectors David.

    I now have these two here above running for Jun2. The DD of these are acceptable.
