Hi there Thank you for all your always constructive feedback to solve this problem. I’ve been backtesting for over 10 years and this is the first time this has happened to me. This is not a weekend problem as mentioned on the forum. I am on the euro/dollar market open from Sunday evening to Friday evening and the problem has been appearing all the time for more than 8 days now on both the real version and the demo version in version 11; Note that with version 10, the same probacktests work perfectly which makes me say that it is probably a problem on the new version 11. GraHal proposed to introduce the “dummy” variable which removes this bar but which forces the programs to be reloaded at each new session. Thank you GraHal for this tip. Looking forward to a more permanent solution Good day to you all

    Maybe for GraHal :

I can’t understand what the issue is, as this is the situation for ages ?

For me the backtest graphs has always been live, this behavior started about 1-2 weeks ago. Previously the equity curve and positions has ticked along live with the price graph. Now the backtest graphs end with the vertical bar at the start of the software and does not keep updating live. The trading system keeps running as it should. End date in backtest is set to “Real-time date”. ProRealtime version is v11.1 – 1.8.0_202 from IG.

It is incomprehensible to me that this problem is only now appearing with the others. I have had this problem with the V11 for months. The V10 works perfectly.

Est-ce un problème de fournisseur? Je suis chez IG…

    et vous???

    I suppose everybody has contributed to this for a certain part. But the solution is really what you see below;
Make a dummy variable that iterates “nothing” (from 1 to 1) like you see there.

Would I tick the left-most radio button (“fixed value”) then immediately (after a next backtest) there’s the vertical bar PLUS (!) the running trade (if so) is ended there (2nd attachment).

It s slightly more complicated than just told, because after clicking a next result line (from the Optimization Report), the vertical line disappears and all seems normal (for this aspect 🙁 ).

What people also described is what you see below (I only notice that myself now). Today is August 29, but the ViewPort of the chart involved is at August 17. Now the veertical bar is set at the end of that ViewPort (plus 1 bar ?) and again he running trade is ended. Result of the backtest ? almost zilch because it ends at August 17 where it also started.
See 2nd attachment (1st failed somewhat).

    Make a dummy variable

I already explored this, but where as that suits me and you, it’s not practicable for many users who have a dashboard of running Systems (say 12).

These users than need to select backtest on 12 Systems  each time they open the Platfrom (so I’m told).

Anyway Nicolas has had it from PRT there is an Issue and it will be sorted in a few days.

The problem has been solved (At least ame me is solved), it is necessary to close prorealtime and then relaunch it.

The problem appears to have been fixed.  It is no longer occurring.   …Peter D

Hi there. the graphs have returned to normal, no more vertical bar…

So it seems that it came from a bug on the platform in version 11 So problem solved.

Thanks to everyone on this thread for helping to resolve this issue.

Very nice day to all of you
