    Hi there.

Back after 8 days with the screens off, I find all my probacktests in demo and real version with a vertical bar that stops trades only graphically. The orders continue to execute but the charts are stopped. If I relaunch a probacktest, it runs on the chart but immediately, a vertical bar appears and the chart stops…

If a charitable soul could help me out… After 3 hours of trying to fiddle with the platform, I give my tongue to the cat…

    Thanks in advance

A screenshot of the line woud help us identify the problem.

    #199517

Possible to get an image of this behavior? In order to better understand the problem, thank you.

This is what happens, when you open the Backtest chart it seems that the open operation closes when it is actually open …. the bar is the one marked in red.

I translated some posts into English, as required by the chosen forum.

thank you for your feedback. I have just attached a screenshot with the black vertical bar that appears as soon as I validate a probacktest, whether in real life or on the demo version, which does not prevent the probacktest from executing the orders of buying and selling. Thanks for your help.

Have you got access to the optimiser with the code you are using or are they trials off MarketPlace or some way that prevents you doing below?

    • Add a ‘Dummy’ variable to the optimiser with settings – min = 1, max = 1 and step = 1 and then run the optimiser.

    Is the line still visible?

Did you set an end period for the backtest on that date? This could explain that stop of the strategy in backtests (and not in real time).

    Hello,
There is a problem with the back test.
If I make a back test in 200 k and my graph is zoomed the back test stops at the zoom

Yes, I have noticed that yestarday, owing to the same problem spotted in the Italian forum.

I realized that it is always on the penultimate candle, that is, on the last one CLOSED at the end of the backtest. If another one opens, but you do not repeat the backtest, the line will remain stationary in that position. If you do the backtest again it will be updated.

I guess it only serves to show where the backtest indicated in the box ended (see attachment, obviously the box shows the closing time of that candle, while the chart shows the opening time).

Hello everyone and thank you for your feedback For the attention of robertogozzi I thought I had selected the French forum. Apparently that would not be the case. Please excuse me. Being very uncomfortable in English, could you transfer this discussion to the French forum. Thanks for understanding. To the attention of GraHal , Nicolas, fifi743 and all other goodwill. This must not come from my programs, some of which have been written for several weeks and which appeared very well on the screen. I noticed that when I run a probacktest optimizing the variables, the graph display runs correctly over time without any vertical bar and when I validate these variables, the vertical bar arrives in the moment and the graph remains flat. This is true for all my live and demo charts . Note that this does not alter the buy and sell orders that follow. It’s only a graphic display problem Another note if it can help you get out of this mess: When I switch to the old version (version 10), the same probackests work correctly. (no display problem) which leads me to think that there is a parameter on version 11 which automatically closes all probacktests ( graphically only ) as soon as they are validated.. but which one? For the attention of Nicolas I do not set any backtest end date on my programs. This problem appears on all my strategies in real and demo.. Thank you again to all of you

Note that this does not alter the buy and sell orders that follow. It’s just a graphics display issue. Another remark if it can help you get me out of this mess

If buy and sell orders that follow are not altered then why is it all a mess … just ignore the line that appears and carry on … Life’s too short to worry about happenings with no consequences??

    Add a ‘Dummy’ variable

Please answer YES or NO I did / did not try GraHal fix??

If you did not understand what I said in that post then just say … I do not understand what you are saying?? 🙂

    @pingpong

Sorry, we can’t move it, as there are so many posts that should be translated and some of the authors might not want to move to another language.

Use a translator (Google, DeepL or else), please. They do a good job in most cases 🙂

That vertical line marking the end of the backtest (the End date) has always been there?! So i’m not sure to understand what is the issue here? 😆
