We use IG too, so it’s strange that you have this problem. One other customer out of our 100+ customer had this problem to this week.
Could you give me an example of one algo that stopped for this reason and the time it stopped, and I will double check.

Thanks Mattias, appreciate it. It would be even better to get the detailed reports of all closed positions instead.

Based on the start time of your algos I can conclude that you missed a winning trades on PRA+ FTSE M5, PRA+ SP500 M5, PRA+ IBEX M5, PRA+ US500 M5, PRA+ IBEX M5 and PRTA SP500 M3.
For the PRA+ algos I understand that it stopped for you due to minimum position size was too low. For the PRTA SP500 M3 I see that you just started it on tuesday after the entry was made.

Also, I see that you are running 1 contract on all algos. So the risk isn’t equally divided per algo.
Example: Running 1 contract on DOW at ~30000 is a 15 times bigger position size than running 1 contract on OMX at ~2000.

So in order for people to evaluate the results of the algos, €111 is not really relevant unless your state the position size and return for each individual algo.

I’m attaching an image again of all orders (for the full week) with no stopped algos and with factorized position sizes (see position sizes below)

DAX30 & US100 & US Crude: 1x contracts
STXE & SP500 & OMX: 3x contracts
CAC & FTSE & IBEX: 2x contracts
DOW: 0.5x contracts

In total a gain of €834,41, 18 wins and 2 losses.
Latent gain over the weekend of €152.4

The list of indices between the countries where IG operate is very different, and the minimum contract sizes differs alot.

See the attached image of the same trade, on which your algo was stopped.
This account uses 0.5 contracts on the Spanien35 Cash (2€) (Sweden account)

Hopefully it will work better on the new Indice you used.

Above same with me and I found it was due to the position size being less than the IG minimum for the respective Instrument.

Minimum position sizes for the same instrument are often different on demo and live accounts. For example, minimum size for DAX30 on live accounts is 0.5 contracts, whereas on demo accounts, it is 1 contract.

Yes, another annoying feature? Surely not difficult to have the same settings for Demo and Live??

We backtest on Demo and all looks good, but then we get rejected on Live due to not meeting minimum position size … so now I am out of kilter with PRA published trades / performance.

I’m going to have Live open also next time and double check minimum position size on Live.

So we were thinking that we could do an update of this week too.

It’s another winning week! In total 53 trades. 40 wins and 13 losses.
Total gain of 331.43€ with the position sizes stated in the attached images.

In the attached images you can see all trades since the free trial start on January 18th until today on two different live accounts (our own and a customer accont).

We’d love to see some of your results aswell. Always interesting to compare.
So one week of the trial left. Let’s hope for a third and final good week aswell.

There are some small discrepancies this week too (it always is):
- The number of trades between the two live accounts differs since the Nikkei algo is not running on one of the accounts.
- One Wall street cash is missing on one of the accounts since it was stopped due to a rejected order

So the 3 week trial has now ended 🚀 We made a full summary of the results here: is.gd/SHuIcZ

Total gain: €1306
Winrate: 78.72% 98 trades

TOP 5 ALGOS:

1. PRA+ IBEX M5: €391

2. PRTA DAX M30: €321

3. PRTA DOW M5: €315

4. PRA+ FTSE M5: €279

5. PRTA DAX M2: €273

Next trial will be in the end of April if anyone of your didn’t have the opportunity to try it.

I see that your PRA+ IBEX M5 has not made any trade. Looking at that image I’m seeing that the indice used is wrong.
I also see that your PRA+ FTSE M5 is stopped and hasn’t made any trades.
And thirdly I see that you haven’t started the PRTA DOW M5 at all.

Those 3 algos above together with PRTA DAX M30 and PRTA DAX M2 were the top 5 performers of these 3 weeks. So it’s unfortunate that your results wasn’t better I’d say. But thanks for sharing!

P.S. Please try to find an indice for IBEX called Spain 35 cash 2€ but without the (MAR-21)
Regarding the stopped algos I would suspect that you haven’t started them with Re-adjust stops which is required for the PRA+ algos.
