  Hello,

  Anybody could help me, i would try this system but when i backtest with 10000€, the backtest is good, but with 1000€ backtest, it’s not good.

  What could i change in code to have the same result (in%) then 10000€ backtest?

  Hi rejo007,

  Pathfinder is created and optimized for a minimum amount of 10k.

  In the Dropbox you could also find a version for the Dax for 5K. This is the minimum.

  Pathfinder needs some “space” to move around. With 1K your position  will be stopped out on a bad day.

  The results of the pathfinder 4hv6 small are not good for 2017! Maybe an update will be fun!

  I test different possibilities but nothing that could go up the results of 2017

  Don’t know what you want to discuss in private. I’m not the creator of Pathfinder so don’t know what i can contribute more than

  the information already provided in this forum. It is actually import the itf. file and than you can play around with it if you want to.

  Pathfinder is a trend following system. If marketconditions change you could have a better or worse period. I think that is normal and part of the game.

  An update will mean that you add one or more conditions in the code that will improve the results. I don’t think that it will get much better by

  optimization. That has already tried before. The unrealized results from the orders from 3, 10 and 12 July look very promising. So far they eliminate

  about half the loss of this year away.

  @rejo007,

  In the code of the small account (4K DAX) it says maxpositionsize long and short 3. So actually you can set the amount of contracts to 3.

  In the others i set them standard to 10 or 15 unless the intrument requires an another amount of contracts. For example soybeans is 20.

  Than you multiply that and you take for example 80 or 100 contracts.

  And no i do not have any other interesting codes. I’m not a programmer. Everything i have comes from Prorealcode.

  so to finish and to be sure, with 10000€ and the pathfinder normal (not the small) i need to change the “1” in “100” in the attached files to give “comfort” to the system?!

  Morning rejo007,

  If you would like to run PF normal 10K properly you have to put in 10 or 15 contracts at the point where you activate the strategy.

  At you picture you show just 1. In this case Pathfinder takes just one postition and is not able to accumulate positions.

  Due to the accumulation you’ll get the high profitfactor. If you look in the code at the part with the months you see accumulation 1,2 or 3.

  In certain marketconditions it can than open 3 times 3 positions. We have that at the moment for example. It opened a position at 3, 10 and 12 July.

  The factor is 3, so multiplied by 3, positionsize=1, you have 1x3x3=9 positions in your porto. If you than have just 1 as you show in your picture, PRT is not able

  to open the positions.
