Dow trailing stop doesn’t update at 5 PM in my demo account, I ‘thinking for a little sleepage.. it was 1,24% since open :-))

Hello Reiner,

I’m running your PF v6 on HangSeng and I’m a bit puzzle on the period you have defined (5am to 5pm). HangSeng opens from 1.15am to 12h30 GMT+1 to my best knowledge. Backtest is also much better with a 12h period starting at the opening.

ONCE startTime = 050000//011500
ONCE endTime = 170000//131500

HS future offical trade time at Hong Kong should be 09:15-12:00, 13:00-16:30, 17:15-23:45.

Ale, did you also abserve that Pathfinder changed the DOW stop limit at 1am CET. This must be an error in the trailing mechanism because the stop limit is lower then yesterday. Initial trailing move seems to work second move is wrong.

@Guys with Dow positions: take care because Pathfinder set the wrong stop limit, correct stop is 20557! for both positions

Reiner,

Do you also have a template for the Pathfinder 4H available? Just as for the daily Pathfinders? Or do you just make a copy from one and start adjusting?

I’ve tried several ones on the IBEX with the same approach as you described for the daily, but can not figure out what to do with shorts and the percentages.

Candles in 4H timeframe will be triggered at 1, 5, 9, 13, 17, 21 CET. Results are much worse when the Hang Seng algo starts at 1am CET.

Patrick, I haven’t a 4H template. I make a copy from the DAX and adjusting all parameters.
