    I use a spread account as in the UK and holding for a long period (20 days) can eat 2% or so.  I see this as a big chunk!  I like to get 1% a day (of my bank) so I see this as giving away money I need no matter how much.

    Money and risk management is key

    Regarding the questing “being” stopped out – I meant the market reversing and hitting your progressive stops when staking a trade with multiple entries on a smaller time frame (15 minutes and below)!

    Well, we always get one @paisantrader, and I guess this time it’s you!  These types of remarks are more the domain of Facebook, where all the snipers live.  However, we have you – Thank You.

    Just o be transparent, the code is old and comes from an MT4 coder; @Nicolas converted it to ProRealTime for use as an indicator!  I have then used this element to develop a “strategy then the Algo.”

    To be clear

    • This was converted from an MT4 application into an “Indicator.”
    • I then developed a strategy and algo

    If you cannot be factual, civil, and non-abusive and stop sniping, maybe you should leave this thread with your sniper rifle and aim somewhere else!  I hear Facebook has a fantastic community for snipers!

    Personally I don’t see any of the “remarks” as such you refer to. Additionally, the only one making Facebook-like sneers  is you (damaging the atmosphere).

    The fact that you know these facts, is not something “we” can work with in advance. The questioning therefore is quite legit (in my view, as always). You could have sufficed with the explanation – am I right ?

    You may have missed the – also fact – that people are very suspicious on stolen codes put to the (fresh) Market Place in here. In that context everybody regards the “questioning” of paisantrader  perfectly normal habit (say from the past 6 months). This makes you yourself a bit out of line (not that I would care, but I try to see things as they are) – thus already for atmosphere that would be (and maybe I care a little bit about that, although I am no mod here).

    I don’t appreciate you implying I have stolen a code in an open forum.  These forums are to share ideas and innovation and help the platform members learn and grow, and in turn, generate new ideas and propositions!

    I have one indicator with Nicolas at the moment to post on my behalf (I also have a second coming in a day or two), which is open. Hopefully, people will use, build-upon /make better or use as part of a larger strategy – that’s what it is all about – help grow knowledge so people can benefit!  We share, not steal!

    Seems from your remark that isn’t how you see it?

    For a paid bot/strategy, I ask a little bit more work, robustness and thought process behind it than just adding a close under or over ema and don’t trade on Saturdays and Sundays. Or is that too much to ask?

    Since you state that you sell them for educational purposes. What do you find unique with your bots that will teach the buyer something crucial?

    To share and exchange ideas or to help each other … that’s what this forum is for. And that’s a good thing. I myself found one of my strategies practically unchanged in the marketplace for selling someone else. It’s enormously annoying … but that’s life.

    Nothing is unique or very rarely. So, you really must ask yourself if – without someone putting an idea into action, then it’s just an idea without benefit or learning.

    People often kick themselves for not acting on a “Captain Obvious” solution, preferring to craft the golden goose that never flies!

    Those who see someone good that can do it usually do, those that can’t read about it!

    Some may actually use the idea and finally benefit from its implementation also!

    When posting in this forum, you have to have the mindset that you are posting for the benefit of the platform, and hopefully, the post will help grow the knowledge and help provoke new ideas. However, it should not be for material gain.

    NOR – should copy in “whole “and sell something for your material gain.

    I don’t mind anyone using and or benefitting from anything I post here.

    Rebadging in the Market Place is a bit off, if you can prove you we the originator then maybe this should be reported in the marketplace.  Better still contact the seller and ask for a royalty?

    No man ! What gives you that idea ? I was only “justifying” the remark from paisantrader. Or better : I tried to explain his posting as he did.
    The implying is a tad dangerous because it could live in your head only.

    As how this snippet (being a full indicator) was brought forward, it seems that someone is asking 250 GBP for a “stolen” indicator. I know, it is part of an algo etc. – you (Steve) nicely spelled that out. But is this clear to everybody ? maybe not.
    So @paisantrader, I wanted to ask you (when I first saw your post about this) what your source is where you got it from (I could not find that source). Also, and to the benefit of Steve again, that the origin is MT4 was clear right away (I dunno where I saw it, possibly in the indicator itself). Thus, it foremost should not be the idea that by posting a found “snippet”, it is implied (ha !) that this is sold for GBP 250. Or is it after all ?

    Assumed not, we all use snippets we learn from each other. And indeed, that is only a good thing (that it can happen).

    I think that is going too far. It’s sure to be annoying, they also know. We build all strategies here in the forum with the help of others, especially with Roberto or Nicolas help. Offering these things on the market for money is unfair. But there is nothing you can do about it.

    If this was actually a good solution of different pieces from PRC put together, it would have value. No questions about it.

    If you compare the screenshot on your site to the attached screenshot that has a bit longer history. Do you consider it a “Captain Obvious” solution that has any real value? Or do you see a highly curve fitted strategy that will only look good on the webshop page?

    Indeed phoentzs is one of those who has been subject to this what we tend to call “stealing” (read : this has been one of these subjects in the forum). But point is : once upon a time we were open as could be to share our codes with others. “Today” this suddenly seems wrong in retrospect because the codes appear in products costing money.
    How would you feel ?

    We can’t claim royalties (or author rights, possibly patents, whatever it is called in each country) for something that has been open to the public. However, the “user” of the code could offer some $ it with the poilite question whether it is allowed to use it for the offered money.
    Let’s remember, paisantrader used the word “ethical”. And that’s exactly what it is about.

    Now I am out. Out to steal some direct $ from some other trader. Haha.
