How can Trial Strategies purchased from Marketplace be deleted

  How can expired and unwanted strategies purchased from Marketplace be deleted from my “Backtesting and Automatic Trading” page ?

  I am only able to delete copies

  That’s inconvenient, particularlarly if I take out a trial subscription and then say start with a 3 month subscription  and then have the same strategy twice

  Annoying isn’t it … it’s one factor that has stopped me using purchase & trials from MarketPlace.

  I’ve got one System stuck at the top of my Algo List, I’m loathe to add more to add to the annoyance.

  We can’t even delete from within an Account on MarketPlace … a fix is long overdue for this anomaly!?

  Hey there! Just wanted to say, I get how frustrating it is not being able to clear out those expired or unwanted strategies from the Marketplace. We’re actually brainstorming on a few solutions to make this smoother for everyone. Thing is, we’ve had to push this back a bit because of the big v12 launch. We’re really aiming to nail down a safe way to do this, so you don’t accidentally lose any of those precious licenses you want to keep. Thanks a ton for hanging in there with us and for your understanding!

  I’d be missing out if I didn’t ask for your thoughts or suggestions on this. So, if you’ve got any ideas or feedback on how we can tackle the strategy deletion issue or anything else, please don’t hesitate to share. Your input could really help us find the perfect fix. Thank you.

  For my part, I’m not bothered at all for details on Trials or Bought etc to stay on MarketPlace forever under my Account … could even be useful as a reminder.

  How about …

  1.  An option box on MarketPlace to delete the link from PRT only?

  Or

  2.   An option box on PRT to delete the link from PRT only?

  You can always add a ‘warning before pressing delete button’ to make doubley sure folks don’t delete that which they want to keep.

  I think we must consider the complexity of creating such a thing which is to be (about) 100% decent. And once you have that accomplished, you don’t want to change it.
  I see it as a consistent whole, that you, Nicolas, should not even want to change, never mind we, including me, find it annoying.

  GraHal, it is also about the (decent) registration that you already obtained a Trial. That too should not be able to get lost.

  But how difficult would it be to have the option to just hide them ? Maybe a Treeview (it already is that, if I see it correctly) that remembers the open/closed state. Nothing to delete or re-add with difficulties; all just like now, but enable hiding it.

  Of course it does. You can’t obtain a Trial twice (normally). So the presence prevents from obtaining it another time.

  After some thought, I think I’ll add buttons to allow anyone to remove an installed (and expired only) license from the license marketplace site. A confirmation popup will be created. I think this will make the user experience more comfortable. Thanks for the topic and for sharing.

  Done, now there is a new button right to licence number to delete completely a product from the platform, but only if trial and expired.
