MACD Uptick

    Hello people,

    I’ve been using the simple assisted code Proscreen below with no problems with the free EOD data, until yesterday when i keep getting results for weekly MACD Upturn/Downturn all coming in random zeros and -1.

    I use the one below on a weekly MACD. My daily screens work ok.

    Any ideas what’s wrong?

    Are there certain hours you can use the free EOD?

    Thanks for any help.

    Here’s the code ;

     

    indicator1 = MACD[12,26,9](close)
c1 = (indicator1 < 0)

indicator2 = CALL "MACD Upturn/Downturn"
c2 = (indicator2 > 0.0)

SCREENER[c1 AND c2] ((close/DClose(1)-1)*100 AS "%Chg yest.")

    Hello sid, in order to assist you, it would be nice to share us the “MACD Upturn/Downturn” indicator code, please. Thanks in advance.

    Thanks for the reply.

    I just used the MACD upturn/downturn indicator available for everyone on the platform in the list of indicators, by using ”assisted” when creating the screen.

    Oh sorry, I never used it. I just launched stocks screener with your code and didn’t find any errors. What is the problem exactly? Your  “%Chg yest.” column may return 0 and negative values.

    Nicolas,

    Just tried it again and like before it’s still not working on the weekly charts. It’s fine on the daily chart and screens for daily macd upticks fine, but not the weekly chart.

    Did you try it on the weekly chart?

    I wonder whether you just cannot use the MACD upturn on a weekly chart with the free EOD now?
