Had this problem before, fixed it, can not remember how.

    On a 10 min chart I get only a week’s data, even if I select 100 000 periods.

    Please advise.

Above only on SP 500 chart, must be a specific setting.

Do not double post. Ask your question only once and only in one forum. All double posts will be deleted anyway so posting the same question multiple times will just be wasting your own time and will not get you an answer any quicker. Double posting just creates confusion in the forums.

    Thank you 🙂

I suffer the same problem.  Daily graph zooms out as far as 15 k, same instrument (i.e. RR – DFB) does not zoom out more than 200 units in 4 Hours/1 Hour etc graph.  So annoying!

does not zoom out more than 200 units in 4 Hours/1 Hour

What do you mean ‘zoom out’?

Are you selecting 100,000 bars / units or whatever you need??

    #173684

    Now I can get 200 000 10 min periods.

Not a double post, a correction

GraHal – Yes I choose all values in the dropdown menu.  For Daily all work fine.  4 hrs, 3h, 2h, 1 h and les do not work for more than 200 units

    #173694

So how many bars / units do you select and show for Daily?

Select 100K bars / units on 1 hour and then take a screen shot what you see and post on here.

    #173713

This the maximum for 1 hour even 100K selected

    #173715

    And this one is 1D , 100K

I get same as you … RR only shows back to 14 April 21 on 1 hour TF.

So least you now know nothing is wrong with your Platform / settings.

Suggest you ask IG and / or PRT … why does RR data only go back to April 21 on < Daily TF ?

Please let us know what you find out.

    Reply from PRT >>>

Kindly note that we do not keep the same amount of historical data for every items for cost purpose.
You’ll find a lot of historical data on the most traded products and on the products with high liquidity.

Answer from PRT does not make sense as on Daily TF on RR we can go back several years so why only to April 21 on Hourly TF on RR?

Also the answer from PRT appears to be a generic statement …   “we do not keep the same amount of historical data for every items?”

We wanted PRT to look at Rolls Royce specifically to see if anything is amiss?

If it were me I would ask the same / similar question on the IG Forum on the link I provided above. Title your question as … Lack of Data – Hourly Timeframe Rolls Royce.

Let us know how you get on please.
