hi Guys,
As many days, today I start many “light” backtests (EUR/USd 1 mn 100 000 units v11.1). The same yesterday take 2-3 hours, and I start the same this morning at 9 am and I’m only at quite 50 % …. No problem with my connection of course
Do you have the same problem ? I understand that it could be slow but today it’s very very slow

06/10/2020 at 5:31 PM #135475I’m having problems since 1h or so. I don’t know if it’s technically possible, but would be lovely if PRT allows the possibility to use hardware resources to run backtests instead of their server based system.

Or many PRT users finished work and then turning to their hobby of backtesting Strategies?? 🙂

Yesterday in the evening I start an algo. After one hour I was at 42 %, but I go to sleep to restart it today in the morning
So today, I restart the same algo, same conditions, nothing change, and after one hour I’m only at 2% as you see …
I can understand there is more people on PRT server today, but I really think they need to do something because it’s more and more problematic
Others have some problems today with very very slow backtets ?
06/12/2020 at 10:22 PM #135792but I go to sleep to restart it today in the morning
Why didn’t you leave it running overnight?
PRT closes automatically every 18 hours so Login to PRT just before you got to bed and maybe backtest will be complete for you when you wake up?
I’m not saying there is no problem re slowness, just offering a work around until speed is back to normal?
06/13/2020 at 8:50 AM #135805Thanks @Grahal
Yes I can do it, but when I don’t work like yesterday I do a lot of coding to test differents ideas and verify if they work on backtest.
If i do that during the night it will go slowly for my ideas. But I think i will do it for more than 100000 units
Yesterday I restart the same algo, same conditions and the Backtest was finish in may be 2 hours… So as Nicolas said many times it’s a problem with servers of PRT. More people are on them, more slowly it is. The problem is that we can code only when they can. A little bit annoying. Hope they will change their servers soon
Have a nice day and week-end
