Somebody higher up or maybe another Thread was saying (my words) … over a 24 hour period there would only be market open so 8 x 1 hour bars of data (not 24 x 1 hour bars as with IG).
I guess their comment was related to PRT Trading via the Direct to Exchange Platform??
If you open a PRT sponsored IG account then it is the same IG trading and live data as if you had opened an account directly with IG

Im sorry, but this is really confusing and would be a time consuming mistake to make if not 100% accurate.
My situation:
I opened my account with IG and have activated “their” PRT client. I was upgraded last week to “ig prt” live v11 and i still get the same amount of backtest data as I did with 10.3 live.
I trade the DAX 24/7 using a 1 minute timeframe using IGs spreadbet market – DAX DFB.
Will I get more backtest data if I move to the PRT premium version? I want to trade the same 24/7 DAX DFB with IG. And if so, can I do that without closing, refunding, funding and having to set everything up again?

Yes the Premium version has more back testing data and more functionality/toys than the Complete version that you currently have.
Yes you will be trading on the same IG instruments as they are provided by IG to all their account holders the same for Premium via PRT as for IG direct.
You will have to go through refunding, funding and having to set everything up again because they are two separate IG accounts, one direct with IG and one via PRT. You don’t have to close one to open the other and neither account is linked in any way.
You will be expected to trade regularly to maintain Premium for free. A few tiny scalps a month will get your Premium access shut down by IG.

No, your old IG account should still work fine?
Can you Login to the IG Platform?
Yes, I can. And I get access to 11 in my live account. I trade ustech100. I could add 200k to the list. But when I backtest M5, M10, and M15 it goes back to 27th of February in all of the three cases.

We all can add 200k in IG PRT v11, but it makes no difference. With the live IG v11 version you still only get 100k. You can confirm this by added the simple code as an indicator as above and repeated here:
count = count +1
return count
I have already asked IG directly if we will be getting an upgrade, but I personally do not think so. If you are coming back, maybe now is the time to open a prt account and link with IG if more backtest data is what you need.

On 200K units of 15 min TF … I go back to 6 Dec 18 … see attached at red arrowhead.
