Please share your finding. I am actually amazed at how useful this is at serving as confirmation of major moves.

Combined with Ichimoku Wave Theory to identify target levels this is as close to a ‘magic’ indicator you will likely get 😉

I am fighting with the code (seems at the moment the code wins, outch!). As far as I understand, we take a fractal (zigzag) as base and if we have a new top|bottom we begin to count. Question: Do we wait with counting until we have 3 highs|lows in a row? And if yes, is that the only criteria, or must we also look back? For example, we see on the right side of our reference point 3 new step-ups, do we have to check that the left side of our reference point has made before 3 step-downs – meaning the reference point is a low produce with at least previous 3 down-steps and afterwards 3 up-steps. Could you please help me to get that cleared, please. Thanks

I think you are overanalyzing this. We are simply looking for the highest/lowest candle between two points (shoulder * 2). In other words, if the shoulder is set to 14, we look for the highest high/ lowest low with 14 higher/lower candles on each side. This is is the start of our first number set. The second number set begins as soon as the next high/low candle matching the above criteria is found.

We work with three (I just decided on 3 for completeness sake – no rule governing this) number sets on each side of the price graph, switching from looking for swing lows to swing highs after completion of set number one.

@ juanj Thanks a lot, it was just too much of Rs and ifs and ups and downs in the code – I always got lost on the way, even with reformatting it. So my base code is different but seems correct and I can go with the rest now.

    Hello,

where can I find a tutorial to understand the logic of ichimoku numbers?

As well as the decomposition of the waves that you approach in your different exchanges?

    Thank you

hi guys, great work – I’m getting into the weeds of the logic behind it but I’m not a programmer. Do you know how I could port this indicator to tradingview pine script?

This code is not for Pinescript, we are offering free programming support on this forum for the ProRealTime trading platform.
