DID I NOW DESERVE AN EXTRA BEER ?

Yes have a virtual beer on me! 🙂

I always have the setting unticked / disabled as I do not wan to to see Orders from my Algos in Proorder while I am optimising and backtesting a new Algo to get it ready to go into ProOrder.

So up until today AFTER I started having the Issue I have never touched that setting.

So somehow this (running more than one in a chart) must be related to your issue.

See attached 3 Algos + Order hover info and setting box not ticked … see pink double ended arrowheads

After restarting PRT all was fine. This was in both charts I have in there so. Mind you, Demo account, the same where my posts from yesterday left off.

Then I activated a new Algo on one of the charts (again, which was fine). Now since hat Algo has been started (or maybe it is since I ran a quick backtest on that after removing the previous forward test still running (???)), the data on the mouse-hover has disappeared. The other chart, however, with forward Backtest and with a Live (in ProOrder as you name it) are still fine.

I did not touch the Settings any more, but I looked at them (prior to starting the new Algo in ProOrder) and the 3 checkboxes are all still checked.

Please read this post and beyond, or the whole topic if necessary :

At the moment of making this Technical Report, the data on hovering the Enter/Exit tags (arrows, crosses) on the price chart, have disappeared.

Flipping the one under the mouse arrow off and on, and now on the other chart the data has disappeared too.
I see no way of getting it back (but  GraHal, your backdoor solutions to this will work, I assume).

So it’s just you and me feeling this bug again!?? 🙁   PRT should be glad we are both around … a free GOM User Test Group!! 🙂

I found the setting to enable again after clicking on hide … see attached.

Does not guarantee that the hover data comes back though!

    #194399

Maybe all the other 999998 registered PRT users were not able to create a position yet. And that case they don’t feel this issue.

Anyway, inspired by your GOM #1 hint, trying about all PRT settings now, Contestant #2 was not able to find the solution to the original issue yet.

Another backdoor solution, which is relatively quick : Reload.

Oops … wrong image was attached to above.

Correct image attached via configure on the Price curve.

    #194425

Haha, Yes, I found those (and even a few more). But they all don’t bring back the price data.
Btw, after I applied that “Reload” a few hours ago, all data still shows. But I did not add new backtests or orders for ProOrder. It seems that such an activity will kill it ?

I never analysed which of my actions killed the hover data, but then more annoying as it seems random!?

Anyway I am not ‘chasing it’ any more … you have submitted a Tech Report and we have a workaround so now it is up to PRT to sort out?

Hmm … even that appears dangerous. So I just had to use that backdoor solution (data had disappeared again) and when the chart was there I was waiting and waiting and waiting … on 200K bars ?
Yes, when I used this before (day before yesterday) I already noticed the convenience of loading the bars (number of units) which is currently present in the chart(s), but today I never used 200K bars – not even yesterday.

Now of course this is only one aspect which is easy to notice. But what can it do more “randomly” ?
Bug # 391 and always counting. Counting a few sheep is more easy !

    #195431

Maybe I just “discovered” that this starts to happen on an account with Live orders (be that in real-live or Demo) and when then a Backtest is run. At least it occurs to me that for a couple of days the problem was away, but when I now ran a backtest (with Optimisation), the issue suddenly is there.

Btw, via my local support this problem was handed to ProRealTime (official  ticket) on about the day that this issue was recognised first.

Assumed it is working OK, copy the behaviour by :

    1. Rightclick in the header area and choose “configure this area”.
    2. Switch Off what you see under the mouse. Switch On again. Now the price data under the labels has disappeared.

Restore to OK by means of

    3. reload Template. (first Save the Platform !).
