Could the issue be related to the platform’s time zone and the trading hours for indices – for example, GBL_EUR – being set to the wrong time zone? The default time zone is correct, but for some reason it still seems to be using US/Eastern. Maybe that’s why it isn’t working?
edit: Never mind. Could someone who is in contact with IG/PRT please handle this? The phone queue for IG support is over two hours long.
09/15/2025 at 6:51 PM #25089609/15/2025 at 6:52 PM #250897I’m in contact with IG, they’re working to resolve it but beyond that they can’t tell me anything… for now they know everything but it’s not known when the problem will be resolved, ProRealTime is also aware of the problems with the algorithms and it seems they’re working with IG to resolve it.

At least that’s a “normal indication for a Symbol that does not exist any more; PRT replaced that with the first Symbol you ever had on a chart for that account (compare expired Futures on PRT-IB).
The entire order overview has also disappeared…
Same here.
That looks bad to me in the sense of : I know how hard it is for ProRealTime to make sense of their normal Detailed Reports and all in that area; this is then with their own stuff (IB version). Now it is worse because it is / has to be in cooperation with the IG data(base). Notice that the Pro-Order data has also vanished for now (see below).
The worth in the Pro-Order data in invaluable (to me) and when that stays away I will be quite blind. Or maybe it is just a part of the database which is not connected for now. Let’s hope for that. There is also a definite upside :
The Symbol (ID) data looks OK to me now (not so around midnight yet).
- No double ID’s any more;
- My detached positions show up in their respective charts again meaning
- I would be able to deal with them normally via PRT.
I won’t try as of now, but this looks and feels that an Autotrading System would also be able to normally start, as long as you re-select the instrument (like US Tech 100 1€).
I could easily check whether I can start a System again but I rather won’t because :
In the case it is a matter of attaching a (part of the) database, it undoubtedly (?) will be so that again something goes wrong with the then current System(s) and its trade data. If I am correct on this one, this counts for everybody and when even one person starts an autotrading system, the mess will be worse up to unrecoverable. … This obviously will happen and thus we are not done with this.Maybe it is even more important for people’s Demo data. I cannot check that because I never use the Demo account, but I reckon that in there the same things show/occur.
09/16/2025 at 6:01 AM #250907Yes, I ran almost 100 algorithms in my demo account to collect data or as a long-term test… all of them, of course, on the €1 versions of the respective instruments for better comparison. So far, I’ve only seen US Tech 100s for $250 and other such things. I hope this will change. Things seem to be returning to normal in the live account.
09/16/2025 at 7:32 AM #250908It looks like they deleted the wrong instrument. They removed the epic + locale instrument, which all the algorithms were running on. When that was deleted, all the systems were deleted as well. What we got back instead was the “not tradable” instrument — the old one that had been swapped out.
It seriously looks like someone with 0% experience did all thoose changes.

I’ll see what they tell me and let you know as soon as I have a response.09/16/2025 at 7:57 AM #25091509/16/2025 at 8:06 AM #250917Meanwhile this is the IB part of PRT. And this is after my accounts have been kicked off the screen (closed long before the 18 hour threshold).
It is all going very well !
This is not related with the IG issue. Server down, please wait while restart.
I’m gathering information about the ongoing problems with instruments not tradable and others disappearing, will update this morning.
