They’re working on it and fixing it. Some of the $ options work, but you have to be careful. It seems to depend on the time frame you’re using.
The 15-minute option seems similar, but other time frames are definitely off when compared to the previous € options.
An example of an algorithm I’ve been using since January 10th. Before, the profit was almost €5,000, but now the results are a disaster.Mauro
09/24/2025 at 11:42 AM #251702I tried it with 1$ Nasdaq in 1 an 2 min timeframe, and the results are the same.
09/24/2025 at 12:09 PM #251705The reason is that IG receives the data feed from the US exchanges originally quoted in dollars (the correct/original feed), while many clients have euro accounts and want everything displayed in euros…
Hmm … but I don’t see anything displayed in euros. The only thing displayed in euros is the P&L in order label and detailed report and such.
So all what happens is that both are denoted an other Point Value and the price as such of both is just equal. Smart trick.
Meanwhile the historical data is not the same at all. So I say : that is wrong in itself. If you compare the charts in real time, there’s really not a bit different in the both. Movement of the price (virtual quotes etc.) is exactly the same too. But not in my previous post. Not at all …
09/24/2025 at 1:59 PM #251709Follows the answer from IG on why the spread on DAX has increased to 1.8.
It’s in French, but basically they answered: We changed some stuff and that influenced the spread of DAX, US500 and USTech. Hope you get that and we are happy to supply additional clarifications if necessary.09/24/2025 at 3:34 PM #251713Follows the answer from IG on why the spread on DAX has increased to 1.8.

The same person from IG answered me too. But it is incorrect what he says, and he later admitted it. On IG’s own website, the spread in DAX is 1.0 for accounts in Germany and 1.4 for Swiss accounts.
Spread 1.8 indicated in PRT is wrong, and he told me they will correct it soon.

I have checked $ against € for US 500 and US Tech 100 on seconds charts and minute charts, and both currencies are exactly the same now ! 🙂
The times of the backtests are also OK for both; Dates start where they should.🙂

May be a stupid question : Why is the price in $ the same as in € ?
1 $ = 0.85 €, as of today….
09/25/2025 at 8:36 AM #251749Help us solve the DAX spread problem
We are currently investigating the spread issue reported on the DAX.
To identify precisely which instrument is impacted, we need you to share with us the exact instrument link.👉 Here is how to retrieve it:
-
Open the DAX instrument in your IG platform.
-
Click on the menu button next to the instrument name.
-
Select “Ouvrir cette valeur dans une nouvelle fenêtre”. (french sorry..)
(see screenshot below) -
Copy the link from the new browser window that opens.
-
Share this link with us here in the forum.
⚠️ Important: Never share your personal ProRealTime links, as they are tied to your account. We only need the IG instrument link obtained with the procedure above.
09/25/2025 at 8:38 AM #251751FORTSCHRITT !
Ich habe $ gegenüber € für US 500 und US Tech 100 auf Sekunden- und Minutencharts überprüft, und beide Währungen sind jetzt genau gleich! 🙂
Auch die Zeitpunkte der Backtests sind bei beiden ok; Termine beginnen dort wo sie sollen.
🙂
Vielleicht eine dumme Frage: Warum ist der Preis in $ derselbe wie in €?
1 $ = 0,85 €, Stand heute….
I can confirm that the €1 chart is now congruent with the $1 chart.
The price is also the same in both charts. I can’t say whether it was the same before. -
