1 day became 2 days,  2 days became later that evening, later that evening became end of week.

Now end of week is over, and still nothing is fixed except startable systems.

    #251226

Is there perhaps an official statement here?

    #251229

It’s Monday morning… and nothing has changed. Day 1 of the week is still Tuesday in the system… the H4 candlestick still starts at the wrong hour, and most backtests are useless. Great.

    Still no progress

I checked the bcktests of some systems on nasdaq in my demo account and they still work. I just had to top up the account with 100K because there is no NS100 mini available. At least the systems still work in principle.

Some systems work… sort of… others don’t work at all. Time-based breakout systems don’t work at all. MeanReverse and Scalper work partially, and Tuesday Turnaround can’t work if the days of the week are somehow incorrectly stored in the system.

This is an issue with IG only right? Im very tempted to go to IBKR, anyone got experience with them? Is the pricing the same ish?

This is from an email from PRT i got couple days ago:

As you probably know in the meantime that on Saturday, September 6, IG made significant changes to the instruments available on its European clients’ accounts.

The foreseeable consequences for ProRealTime users may be as follows:

    – Certain instruments are unavailable on the platform.

    – The order history for the affected instruments is missing.

    – Automatic strategies are likely to be gradually stopped on the instruments modified by IG.

We regret this situation, which is beyond our control, We are working actively with the teams concerned to limit its impact and restore normal operation.

Currently this process is still ongoing for some elements, also for historic price data, we are working on updating the new available instruments with its historical price data.

They seem to not know what the issue they´re on going with.

So lets help them make a list.

Backtest works (but gives totally wrong data on American indexes) The backtest is correct upon latest data but before some monhts ago it totally gives wrong outcome.

Day 1 of the week is still Tuesday in the system

the H4 candlestick still starts at the wrong hour (An 4 hour system normally operates on the following schedule: 1:00 AM – 5:00 AM – 9:00 AM, etc. Now on american indices this system now operate on 2:00 AM – 6:00 AM – 10:00 AM, etc)

[ I got this update regarding this
    Old instrument : IX.D.SPTRD.IFE.IP
    New instrument : IX.D.SPTRD.INE.IP

    So before :
Instrument IX.D.NASDAQ.IFE. was on exchange “IND_GBL_EUR” at GMT +1

    And now :
Instrument IX.D.SPTRD.INE.IP is on exchange “IND_US_NOR” at GMT -4]

    EPIC + locale [FIXED]

All historical trades from (detailed report) – Not urgent.

No demo cash 1€ american markets exists (IG issue).

Is anyone from PRT reading this? I’m still hoping for a statement from @Nicolas, the only official from PRT present here.

I spoke to IG again, and they told me they’ve sent the new files for the American Indexes to PRT. These files use British time +1, which should most likely fix most of the issues mentioned above once they’re updated.

Also they said for IG demo 1€ cash contracts for American markets will be fixed [they´re working on it]

The communication from PRT is unfortunately (once again) very disappointing…

We are dealing with an outage that affects many PRT clients and directly impacts the functioning of the entire PRT platform…

On top of that, this involves (a lot of) money…

We are now nine days further on, and the last update was on September 17, five days ago…

Of course, the update doesn’t necessarily have to come from Nicolas, but someone at PRT should take responsibility…

    #251248

We are now nine days further on

The way I calculate it, it is 16 days. But alas.

Just putting down the phone … What I understand of it, is that IG now (again ?) delivered the base files upon which PRT can do their mappings. This is since this morning. I couldn’t get an idea about the how long the PRT work will take.

I again urged for at least showing some sympathy, and the response (of local support) was : yes, it would be a good idea if we bring forward a more current status in that popup you see at logging in. Note, I talk with PRT herself, not IG.

Otherwise I am fairly sure that nothing is wrong with backtesting, if you only don’t use “time stuff” like in the examples of phoentsz (like 4H or time limiting the system). I have been working on US500, Tech100 and EUR/USD and I see nothing strange (and use a TF of “seconds”).

Whether those systems will run in Live I can’t tell and with a still empty screen with systems and no history to be seen anywhere, I don’t like to try it either – too afraid of causing more troubles which can be avoided.

    #251251

    @PeterST

They are terribly wrong. I backtested same systems from 2018-2025 pre all this stuff. And now after.

And I can tell you nothing is correct on any timeframe. This is on Nasdaq and S & P.

Please try backtest on 200k bars on Us tech 100 Cash (1€), there is no way it is working correct for you.’

Edit: I made a realisation the dollar contract is working as intented but not the the euro one.

But … I *am* testing the 1 euro US Tech 100 and US 500. I am proceeding on the system(s) I already have, and nothing is wrong with them that I can see. BUT, not before June (I just did not test that) and in under 1 minute TF (21 seconds, might that matter).
And I did not run “a” back test, I have backtesting the whole weekend, including today.

Earlier on someone (you ?) said that backtesting in 2023 and beyond-backwards) worked out wrongly. I can not try that, unless with unknown systems hence no reference. And my 21 seconds won’t reach 2023 …
