Yesterday, I was running a system/algo on the US Tech100…

Everything was going fine until the PRT data went haywire, and I got stopped out with a loss of €209…

    I have now stopped everything…(again)

The American indices are not usable, until they have fixed everything you can only have losses, only the Dax functions regularly.

    #250991

They could have done it in August, so we would have closed everything and gone to the seaside.

I really don’t understand why there’s so little information coming from PRT…

This is so impactful that there should be at least two updates per day…

Unfortunately, after yesterday’s promised update, I haven’t heard anything further…

The backtests in live account and demo account are totaly diffrent. The right backtest is live account and the left one is demo. It´s the same algo.

    #250995

    It´s the same algo.

But it is not the same symbol. The Live one seems to be the 100$ cash. Demo the 1€.
Why don’t you show what’s in the top of the reports ? I suppose the difference shows there ?

    #250996

    It´s both the same algo.

But Vinzent, it is not the same ID or Symbol or Tradeable Instrument (or whatever to call it). Look below; your Demo account uses the $100 (by now old) symbol and therefore all the trading goes different (apart from all being worth 100 times more). The $100 symbol never showed the “$100” as such, for what I recall. But it just is that. Your Live account bears the 1€ which still exists today (the $100 does not exist any more that I can find).

    More clear now ?

Update on IG instrument migration – current status

    Resolved or nearly resolved

    • Gaps in market data (“quotation holes”) are almost completely fixed.

    • “Save” features (lists, drawings, alerts) should be operational by tonight.

    🔧 In progress

    • Order, technical analysis (TA), and position history are being progressively restored, starting with a subset of users.

    • Historical orders and lists are being updated in stages.

    ⚠️ Remaining issues

    • Auto-trading (EPIC IG errors):
IG manages user permissions for trading on each instrument. In some cases, IG grants apparent access, but orders are later rejected, resulting in the “AccountID not permitted with EPIC” error. This has been escalated to IG.

    • Platform launch (ProRealTime V11):
Some users are experiencing launch issues, linked to a market management encoding problem on IG’s side. IG is working on a fix.

We will continue to share updates as IG resolves the pending points.

    @VinzentVega

If your code relies in any way on profit and loss calculations, the results will naturally differ. The first order matches in both cases, but from the second one onward the outcomes diverge, which suggests that the strategy logic is being influenced by PnL values.

This issue is gone as they removed the instrument totally (before it was duplicated and startable and you got this error), it´s not obtainable anymore. As one of the duplicated instrument got removed and we remained with the not tradable one.

What is the issue related to automatic trading can´t  be started. Is it the gaps, is it the history? Is it something else? Do PRT know?

I sense that they think the EPIC error is still the issue but it´s not?

We have prepared a short guide to help you ensure that you are selecting the correct tradable instrument in IG and opening it properly in ProRealTime.

Some instruments may appear with the same name, but only one is actually tradable. To avoid order rejections, this document explains step by step how to:

    • Access your IG Dashboard.

    • Select the right contract from the instrument list.

    • Open it directly in ProRealTime.

    (sorry pictures are in French).

I don´t mean the diffrents in the amount. The entrys and exits are diffrent. That´s the point.

Nicholas I´m not aware if you know but the duplicated system is gone. There is no EPIC + locale error. It only occured on one of the instruments. So there is not an problem selecting correct tradable instruemt as there is only one.

“Trading systems cannot be applied on this instrument because it is not tradable”. Once this is solved we can just run our auto-trading-systems again, no?

    #251010

Many of our users has this message trying to Prepare system for automatic trading for the US Markets. US500, US Tech 100 and Wall Street are affected.

“Automatic trading is not authorized for this instrument”

There is only one instrument for these markets, so it’s not a matter of choosing another instrument.
