I backtested for the past 6 months then went live 2 weeks ago. I did not paper trade or demo my system went straight to live account and have lost thousands.
I feel I have optimised the shit of out my strategy that I have just data mined 6 months and used the ema settings that generated the highest win % thru optimization. In handset this forum has been great. On the other hand it has been confusing and keeps me doubting myself whenever I read a new post.
I think I need to back test for 4yrs on 4hr charts and then go to demo for 2 months then go live.
think of it this way
if you had done the opposite you had won thousands
so its possible to win if you find the optimal settings
