HS V6 closed with 613 Euro gain
Hi Reiner,
do you run all H4 versions? or just hall of fame?
Could it be possible to find all H4 versions in one resumed post for easy access….? I know you ‘re busy…. 😉
“DefParam PreLoadBars”
I’m live on dax pathfinder and occationally i get an error message regarding the preloadbars.
I have read in previous posts that i’m not the only one with this error.
In the original code preloadbars is set to 10000. But i read this in en manual.
” By default this parameter is equal to 1000. It cannot be less than 0 or higher than 5000″
I have tried with 10000 and 20000 but with the same error message.
I’m setting it to 5000 now if nobody else has any suggestion?
winnie37, I’m trading only DAX, DOW and HS life and some others not published robots so far. I only want to publish in the hall of fame the best systems.
Gordon Gekko, please try 1500 preloadbars (230 trading days * 6 candles per day)
Pathfinder is bulish and opened positions for FTSE (3 x 7272) and DOW (2 x 20314)
@djtaktik
has asked in the library why the DAX Pathfinder performance is so much better than the CAC. Pathfinder makes the money mainly on the long side. Attached you’ll find a comparision of the two indices and you can see that the DAX has clearly outperformed the CAC in the last years (55% / 33%).
Best, Reiner
Thank you for your answer. I didn’t notice that there is a long biais in you strategy. Good to now.
What is relevant is that if we modify parameters on the cac, we don’t managed to be profitable.
Do you try to have different parameters for long and short side to optimize short trades ?
@djtaktik
Please find attached the last version of Pathfinder CAC 4H V6. You’ll find the best systems at the first post of this topic. Long and short are treated separately please check the code.
Best, Reiner
sorry for my last question. I had the false impression that when I did the test on the cac the results were bad.

How do you guys act when the algorithm has a big win and you “know” (have a gut feeling) that it will loose momentum and fade. As the DOW/DAX trade in pathfinder yday and the day before. We are now 200ish € down from the top.
How do you act. Do you close the trade manually or have full confidence in the robot?
@CN
It’s your decision because it’s your money that is in the line of fire. In my opinion it’s not a shame to take the money out of the market if you feel better especiality at the beginning. Take the win and look forward to the next trade. Now you have a buffer and are more relaxed for the next round.

True, but that fear of missing out is a real thing, at least for me. I will probably let my winners run Ala buffet style. Let’s hope we haven’t topped out 🙂
Have you closed your dow/DAX trades in pathfinder? 🙂
No, I let the systems run.
