Nobody there anymore? Someone is still using Pathfinder? What are your experiences?

Recently I made the effort and checked all Pathfinder systems which got created by members of the forum and me.
The ones I created where made with IS and OOS.
Overall I evaluated circa 70 systems to check how they performed after the creation date. I think it is save to say that they are all overoptimised and failed to even perform somewhat close to the IS sample. Probably due to the amount of optimisable variables in the code.
Some of them where profitable in the last 12 to 24 months but their profit/dd ratio is too risky IMHO.
Here and there were even some strategies with a Profit/DD ratio close to 2 but it seems they were only lucky survivors.
The Dax strategies could be an option. Most of them were protitable the last year but still not close to the IS sample.
Most of the members who were involved with Pathfinder did probably the same observation hence the dying thread with sparse responses the last 2 years.

On one hand, I agree with O-jay8 about the great number of parameters in these systems, so it is very difficult to see their effect if you modify some of them. To my mind only Mr Reiner has a good, bright picture of its strategies
On the other hand, I am not as pessimist as O-Jay8, it is true that these systems were overoptimised for the period 2016-2017 and they are less profitable than before.
But some of them are still efficient

Guys, this is the best system of the forum with the swing.
I am using it since 2018 with amazing results.
i’ve posted 2 years ago or 1 in the swing forum. someone said that was not good before 2008 and trashed it. Live since 2018 100% gain 😀

stop it. too much. choose only one. you need at least 10k euro x strategy to face the drowdawn
I use the Vanilla Nasdaq 4h system and its working very well
Testing files attached that I am using to test this strat against multiple products and time frames
You still need to walk forward etc but this way you can select the variables with your most desired properties
Dax @ 5 mins and 2 hours looks promising
Tech 100 1 Hour optimised file attached, needs a walk forward test though

I posted another analysis already in the Swing forum.
Here my results for the 4h Pathfinder strategies, which I mentioned already in a previous post.
Out of the 70+ strategies ever posted in the forum and/or created by me, I only took those which were profitable in the last 12 months.
So 20 strategies were left and out of them only 9 were maybe tradable. I would personally only take 3 with a RR ratio of at least above 1. I heard quite often that traders dont go live unless the RR ratio is at least 2.
I dont have any algo live anymore. It was fun to do the analysis though 🙂
@reb, do you still trade any of the 4h algos live?
or does anybody still trade the 4h strategies?

I still trade HS and Wall
Here the Pathfinder System that i am using, LIVE.
For the Italy you see 0 gain couse i close always manually all the trades.
