Yearly broker costs (wake up call)

  This morning I had a (long) telephone conversation with IG about the excessive costs on my cost overview. After some confusion and a few transfers, someone could tell me that my costs for the past year are not € 3262.54 but € 1631.27 (half, which is a lot better).

   

  So you sent me the wrong cost overview?

   

  No, because the costs on the cost overview are doubled… the summary of the costs is again a summary of… all in all a very confusing report so…

  i would suggest you change your base currency to fit the market you are trading in, it reduces alot of conversion of currency cost.

  i think my annual report had a bit more even….. although i am not losing so i just accept that there will be costs of using their platform

   

  then i do not think there are any better  brokers refering to costs of having a trade open?

  This is exactly what I initially wrote this morning, but I found it too stupid to present to you guys, so I scratched that text. But I can be honest too … I made the same mistake. And once I found out, it was easy to match. And of course more reasonable and to more my expectations.
