    Hi

After reading many of the topics on here it seems that there might be a problem with the ProScreener returning the correct results. I live in Australia and I’m scanning the ASX100 stocks with a weekly system on the weekend. The scan is not returning the correct results. I decided to try a very simple scan to see if that was correct and the results are still wrong.

I scanned the ASX100 with the selection period set to weekly.

This returns a lot of stocks where the close is less than the open. I also tried the following formula

    The results are still incorrect

What seems to be the problem? I trade a weekly system so I do all of my research on the weekend.

    Thanks,

    Alan

    1. Do you have live data feed for the stocks lists you are scanning?
    2. If you launch a Sunday screener on a market shares you do not have real time, its calculations will be done on Thursday data.
Indeed, in order for an end-of-day EOD client to have access to Friday data on a stock market, the current day must be the next trading day in the market, case on Monday.

I am using End of Day data and I scan on a Saturday or a Sunday

I’m just curious as to why the screener wont screen the actual data thats on my screen. I have another software package at the moment and as of any Friday night the last weekly candle on all of my ProRealtime charts is identical to the last bar on my other software. So the End Of Day data the I’m receiving from ProRealtime is correct and yet the Proscreener cant detect it until Monday?

If I can physically see the weekly candle on Saturday morning why cant Proscreener see it.  Its not a data issue because the candle is already displaying correctly.

As a workaround what would happen if I took my weekly formula and added TIMEFRAME(Weekly) to the top of it and made the selection period daily.   PRT doesnt have an issue scanning on a daily system on a Saturday. It can detect Fridays candle.

Since all of the conditions in my formula are setup for a weekly timeframe would I just have to add TIMEFRAME(Weekly) at the very top of the formula or above every condition?

Even if the chart is displaying the correct current candlestick, the program will only get the “end of day” results. You are trying to get the paid data for free with the workaround you are suggesting 🙂 That’s not fair for people who are actually paying for them 🙂

FYI, ASX shares live data is 24 AUD and free if you make 4 trades in the month (PRT-CFD premium).

If you launch a Sunday screener on a market shares you do not have real time, the calculations will be done on Thursday’s data.
Indeed, for an EOD customer to have access to Friday data on a market shares, it is necessary that the current day is the next trading day of the market, or in this case the Monday.

Where do I find the ASX real time that you mentioned

If you are trading CFD, in your IG or PRT-CFD dashboard / My Account / Real time … (don’t know the right term, I got the French dashboard).

You’ll get there all live datas you can subscribe with their respective prices and free conditions.

    Hi Nicolas,

I have similar situation with my Proscreener as I only perform weekly analysis for NYSE and NASDAQ equities and do not subscribe to live data.

Can I check and confirm that if I subscribe to the “Delayed data package: 25 markets included” (Prices delayed from 10 to 15 minutes), I will be able scan the latest weekly candle on a Sat/Sun?

    Thanks,

    Jas
