Like JC_Bywan I am obliged to protect myself against the weekly southern french (micro-)power cuts. So, no desktops in my house, only laptops. And next to my ADSL-3.5Mbps modem I run a battery operated 4G-modem (20 to 50Mbps). This also covers the internet outage risk. Only my secondary screens drop out. I am considering an “onduleur” for that, aka UPS, Uninterruptible Power Supply.
