I need to check the low of the current bar on a weekly timeframe. However instead the low of the previous (and last completed bar) is returned.
In general how do I gain access to the current (incomplete) bar?
Thanks
Indicators and Screener ALWAYS run live, while the candle is forming, so there’s no adjustment to make.
In you are using the free End-of-Day data, then every timeframe is lagging 1 bar, that might be the issue (which can only be worked out by subscribing to the real time version of the platform).
One option in your case would be to work on a daily basis.
Most of the time I am looking to work on a weekly timeframe. However with regards to daily. In case of the UK mkts could I access the latest bar as some as the market closes IE 4:35pm?
To be able to access the 4:35pm bar you need to use a 5-minute timeframe (or lower).
I am not sure I explained my self correctly. Today’s daily bar, when would this be included in my screener , after the market closes today at 4:35pm or not until after midnight ie next day or alternatively until the next daily bar begins tomorrow?
I got it!
Not until the regular daily bar closes (IG closes it at 11pm UTC+0 +DST, which is currently 0am UK time and 1am CET). But that happens NOT exactly after that bar closes, but a few hours later. I never had a chance to check it, but I thing around 7am.
