week & month results from IG download

An attempt in excel to create a basic sheet to see real week & months results automatically.

From IG, goto history and download the profit/loss from the period you want, maximum a year.

Copy the whole tradebreakdown sheet content to the TBD sheet in this excel file in cell A1

In the sheet TradeAnalysis you see the results by week & month. Having this to work, it could easily be expanded.

Probably would be nice to include a filter so it can filter results only for certain markets, using a dropdown with data validation.

With the results, it’s easy to create graphs and more.

have you thought about using Edgewonk

I have been using it for a couple of years now, I am currently in the middle of writing a guide of how I use Edgewonk for a new trading site I am building but its not in place yet. I will attach a few images below

There is a stack of features and I found it more informative than the Excel sheets I used run, plus the direct import from the IG.com Closed trades Excel export that you referenced makes it dead easy to add the trades

That’s a great tip! Excel feels limited and need a lot of work for this purpose.
