Trend following systems exit

Hello every one, I don’t usually design trend following systems due the fact that I am having a hard time finding the right exits. Using i moving average usually ends up eating up a lot of your potential profit when the system catches a trend for example. How do you exit your trend following trades? Have you got any tips or tricks?

Average

Using the Parabolic SAR is typically a good exit indicator as it detects when a trend ends.

Hi @filiprb. You can also look at ATR (multiple of ATR) type, or chandelier stops.

Legend

SuperTrend (which is made of ATR) can also be helpful to moving stoploss while price go up or down.
