Maybe you, me and PeterSt could go on the Speaking Circuit … you know, hire a room in a hotel and pack em in!!

I did consider this a few years back, but unless it’s a ‘good crack‘ (plenty of laughs etc) then it be more effort than it’s worth!? 🙂

Only joking, mad thoughts, but folks do it and make a mint!

A YouTube channel be easier anyway.

You could get a Text to Speech App and run all your writings on here through the App and put them on YouTube!

There we are … a realistic and practicable idea spawned from my ramblings! 🙂

    LOL

I like a good ramble as you can clearly see here, its good to get it out your head onto the table to make space for more of the same, its when you start talking to yourself ‘out loud’ you should start to worry

    #208562

The again most people in here do it out loud when they see a trade going south, yelling at a monitor LOL

People become religious quick when they start trading… Please god bring that price up, just once more get me out of this dam trade! lol

If you ever get board and hear yourself saying bugger it then clicking that mouse to put a trade on just don’t because 9 times out of 10 its going to loss and unconsciously or consciously you knew it was a bad decision!

    LOL

I’ve even said  … out loud to myself …

Just give me all my money back IG and I’ll Quit Trading!!

If you don’t do a Tex to Speech job, I might try it one day when I get more time! 🙂

This is the little list I handed to my son, meant to help him with his first trading activities. I think it is in sequence of importance :

    1. Never start to be afraid that you will lose the trade.
    2. Be prepared to stop a trade in a losing position.
    3. You will make mistakes.
    4. Never additionally buy when the trade is winning more and more.
    5. Don’t be in a hurry entering the trade (instead wait for its best price in a retrace).

Of course there is much more. In his blocknote I see a next line “if you want to earn from a stock, you should have possessed it yesterday“. Well, didn’t I finish my previous post with such a statement.

    Some good advice there!

My son did the opposite to what I told him but after seeing results from my 500 challenge I think he is starting to listen

My son always has good advices for me too : dad, you can go Long now because I went Short !
(he, being sure that the market is always against him and that the market knows what he does and thus immediately counteracts that)

LOL, parents what do they know!

Looking back when I started trading wall street I didn’t think it would go higher than 10 thousand, then 12 then 14 and look were it is now!

I should have put £2 a point on and left it!

    hindsight is a wonderful thing

I have a question, something that popped into my thoughts yesterday.

By the way, this is for everyone to give input to.

If you usually sit in the background just looking and reading other peoples comments please make an exception and give some feedback, doesn’t matter if your right or wrong or you think its silly or common sense, just get on your keyboard and type.

The question is; What do you think the difference is between the 5% of consistent winners in this game and the 95%  that don’t make it?

There is no right or wrong answer to this question but it might help part of the 95%

    #208635

While we wait for some opinions on that question my mind opened another can of worms.

I got to thinking, if you jump from system to system looking for a good 1 and find that hard, try the perspective of trying to beat every system out there to beat 95% of traders! How hard would that be?

I used to look at different companies to make sure that the one I was trading with wasn’t just waiting until I put a trade on and moving price the opposite direction to hit my stop loss!  (CMC, IG INDEX, ETC ETC) because I felt as though there moving the price just on my screen to take my position out, every trade I put on, as soon as I clicked the mouse it would go the opposite way!

I felt as though I was being watched and they wanted my 50p a point from me. LOL

We’ll go 50/50 as most of the content would be yours!!!  Or I guess % split dependent on number of words by Author, so then others could also contribute! 🙂  It could be like the mmm a book where loads were interviewed for their thoughts and strategy, not the Trading Magicians but something like that!!  I have the book somewhere.  Ah I know the Trading Wizards or the Wizards of Wall Street!!

Wouldn’t it be great if it worked, only thing is on YouTube there would need to be visuals as well so loads more work!

However, I have an alternative idea that needs no visuals! I have researched / trialed about 12 months ago for a book I started 15 years ago!

As you say, we are running out of years to do all the stuff we imagined doing in a lifetime.  Trading and even worse trying to find a good coded Algo eats into my life big time!!  I have stopped 100% for 18 months I think at one point, also for lots of smaller periods, but I find I miss it … or maybe it is just a habit I can’t break!!! ???
