Demo platform works very weird sometimes. I wouldn’t bother.
just for the record:
in real markets once an strategy opens a trade Of 1 contract, then the markets get a picture I did not like. I was away from my computer and I wanted to close the trade with some profit without stopping the system, therefore no manual intervention otherwise you get the message you posted. My idea was.
My solution I though, open manually a -1 contract in mode to protect the automatic trade ( without stopping the system as I said) and voila! I got the same messenge.
Thanks for your reply Leo – but I did not do any manual trades at all so this cannot be the reason for the stopped strategy or reason given. Hopefully PRT can find the reason and supply a solution.

I have at the moment “Active”, which one should it be the best then?

as long you have “force open” active/enabled it should not be a problem
maybe demo is different?
on live account i trade both manually and auto at the same time and its never a problem
Hello
I have excatly the same behavior, on my live account.
I’m waiting for the PRT investigation..
Hi Traderfred,
what do you mean by the “same behaviour”?
Kind regards
George
Hi,
I mean my strategy was stopped due to some external reason…and this is not me 🙂
Today I changed my account from a limited risk to a normal one, and the first trade seems correct. Let’s wait for the PRT feedback!
Did anyone find out the reason from PRT team?
I’m getting exactly the same message:
‘This trading system was stopped due to an external event such as a modification of an order or position opened by a trading system from an interface other than ProOrder. Please carefully check your positions and pending orders.’
@jayvee
Are you sure you didn’t close yourself some pending orders opened by the strategy? Or even moved it or changed limit/stoploss?
Greetings Nicolas; no nothing – didnt do any manual intervention. Doesn’t happen all the time – its happened 3 times so far. I do use the standard set stop trailing code – does this make any difference; based on the comments in the previous page I thought it might?
Ok, so .. only a technical report should help in this case. I can’t help more 😐
