i’m also encountering issue, whereby the PRT simply cant load anything. The loading is so slow and unresponsive. Is anyone from the technical team checking on the servers?
I have the same issue, getting worse and worse. PRT gets slower and slower, then unsresponsive, the completely frozen.
And finally I have to kill PRT (on Mac OS X High Sierra).
It used to happen once in a while, now several times a day… Can hardly finish a backtest.
I noticed 2 things :
1/ The problem happens the same way even I use another Mac.
2/ I I launch PRT on my 2nd IG account (not demo, a real account), it works fine.
So how to reset the environment for 1 particular account, on the server part I support?
I would suggest running your backtests on your real account. For me this works much better. I abandoned the demo account almost completely because there are strange things happening that do not happen on a live account and finally on the live account is where you want to run your strategies.
Thanks for the advice; but this is why I’m doing already : running my back tests on real trading accounts; I just have more than 1.
My Platform has been fine for weeks, but I just did something that may be significant re the ‘unresponsive issue’!
I closed two Systems that I’d been backtesting / optimsiing, but I left the optimised results and the Detail Report open! Platform is now unresponsive, I’ve closed my 2 Demo Platforms and my Browser to no avail!
Annoying thing is because my Platform has been good for weeks I have got out of the good habit I was in of saving every few minutes and Quit / Save / Open after a big Optimsing session.
Oh well another Forced shutdown via Task Manager and work and time out of my life lost!!!
