From my recent experiences, there appears to be several anomalies / bugs in V12 around backtesting and optimising that sometimes bugs show and at other times those same bugs do not show?

For example, I sent in a Technical Report last week about the Optimise Backtest text button (see attached) being non-functional.

Within 2 days or so of my Tech Report the button started working, I thought … wow that is encouraging!

Then yesterday the button had dissapeared altogether, I thought … oh well, PRT must only want 1 place to start an optimise run etc?

Now today, the button is back again and is working!

I recall the non-functional Optimise Backtest button being flagged up (on here) by beta testers / early adopters of v12 some 18 months ago?  But depite this, the button remained non-functional for 18 months or so until somebody submitted a Technical Report (me) … hence why I am saying … if we want bugs fixed we need to flag them up to PRT via Technical Reports sent in via PRT Platform Help > Technical Support.

If not sure whether you are seeing a bug or not, then it makes sense to ask for confirmation on this Forum … ‘are others getting this same problem’. We don’t want to cause PRT unecessary work.

If we don’t send in Technical Reports (via Help > Technical Support) then we may well get the same bugs we currently see in v12, still being there in v13!
