Hi.
Last night I wanted to update one of my strategies with Live trade data information. Just to keep track of how the strategy went- did it go like expected and so on.
I came to think of if it was possible to interface running Proorder code’s statistic so one don’t have to do this manually every 3 month. I’m thinking about something similar to what is going on over at myfxbook.com. All automated trading comes with an http interface where Live trades and backtracks is displayed with all trade statistic. I know that the framework for the http display, one properly has to make them self unless Nicolas has something similar cooking? 🙂
Cheers Kasper
12/07/2016 at 3:23 PM #17935This could be great for sure. I know the backtest report will be soon almost completely rewrote with many more statistical calculation, but this is not what you are looking at here. Since nothing can be exported from the platform in real time, you’ll have to search program/script already made with the IG API. I don’t know any already made program, but you could find something at IG Labs maybe .. ?!
12/08/2016 at 8:03 PM #18091Yes it would be -not only a cool feature, but something that PRT could benefit for on a big scale. It would open up for a whole new crowd of people that would make PRT algo trading available for fond’s and other money managing houses. So I think there is a business case for PRT here. That why I thought you actually could tell me something about interfacing the API for Proorder. First thing I think would be to investigate if it’s even possible to interface the Proorder API? I could direct my question directly to PRT, if you don’t know it?

12/08/2016 at 8:31 PM #18094Nothing can be exported directly from the platform, that’s how it goes, essentially because strategies are executed server side .. but in this case, it only deals with orders history and current trades on market .. well I already talked about website like myfxbook or fxblue with PRT techies and they feel in interest with this kind of functionalities, but I don’t know if it is something they will plan or not in the future into their development ; I heard things about social trading somehow, but dunno how it will take form .. I’ll talk with them later this week, maybe I could put this question on the table too 🙂 Thanks Kasper.
12/09/2016 at 10:02 AM #18126YES!! Nicolas, and thanks 🙂 I really think this could have potential for furter development of PRT business. Also as you describe it would not be an export- it would be a read access directly into the Proorder. Please write an update when you know more.
Cheers Kasper
12/09/2018 at 2:09 PM #86614Hello Nicholas,
any update on this topic myfxbook through PRT ? I heard about Pro community but it’s only for premium user and not applicable for IG complete as well. By the way, pro community is not for public so I guess completely different things vs myfxbook.
Or similar to myfxbook platform will be supported by PRT in future ?
