Hi All,
This question is for all IG customers. I just had a look on the Prorealtime web site and it states that if you sign up with PRT and IG that you get the Premium version (with all its additional benefits) of PRT.
So my question is: Are their any IG customers that have this – Premium version? I checked mine and it says “Complete” – see attached.

Yes that’s right, there are many advantages to have a PRT-CFD account than an IG one, it’s great for codes like us (more history!, more automated strategies launched at the same time, etc.). About tick/tick backtesting, I think there will also be some of others precious advantages to be with PRT-CFD than IG, but I can’t tell you what exactly (when this feature will be available in cfd trading).
I was open cfd account directly from IG.com website and I have ProRealTime Complete
version 10.2.
I am also interested to have Premium version. May be somebody from the prorealtime.com company will explain
how to get it and what about the approximately costs for using this Premium version for the month.
If I trade 4 or more times per month, the IG Market Company do not take any money for using ProRealTime Complete version.
Ivars IG licenses PRT for clients and has nothing to do with PRT except for the licensing.
You can find all the pricing at ProRealtime.com as far as I know, you pay a fee and there is no rebate like IG.
I think that Stef’s point is that PRT write that if you are a costumer with IG you will have the Premium version and not the complete version- which seems to be the case for IG?
I am an IG costumer and only have the complete version.

As i understand it
If you open a CFD account (IG) thru prorealtime its the same thing as i you open an account directly with IG?
except three things, more historical data, platform support directly from prorealtime and free programming help?
but is there anything else to think about?

Interesting Eric. So one need to cancel the IG account, and reopen it through PRT- with IG.
I think I will call both tomorrow to sort it out, before jumping to any conclusions.
Hi guys. I talked to both PRT and IG this morning.
It seems like that PRT is exclusively offers this to new customers on their website.
I asked if I could have both account, One that I already have with IG, and a new one with PRT, -that is also with IG.
PRT don’t mind this, but IG might.
So I called IG- where they first of all toned down the benefits with the premium version, and also that creating an account with PRT, you wouldn’t get IG support.
I asked if they mind me having the 2nd account- which they didn’t mind.
In my experience trying to open a 2nd account with IG just creates a bunch of problems- but I will try and let see what happens .
IG was very wage in their answer to why they didn’t provide the premium ver. of PRT to their customers in the first place. First they did, then they didn’t (I think) then there wasn’t much difference. I tried to explain that 4 times more historically data and volume indication on FX was a huge difference

You can also just close the existing account and create a new one. Or create a new one and then close the existing.
Pretty much got the same story from IG.
I hate IG support – so not having it would be a benefit in my opinion! IG in anyway like to use the excuse that they do not offer coding support. And they are poor at providing feedback. So, this looks like more of a win than a loss!
A actually vaguely remember having a Premium account a long time ago – not sure when this was changed/removed.
Agree with you 100% 4 times more historical data in itself would be worth the trouble.
Do they at least offer this in the country that you are in – can you create an account without getting the ‘country not supported’ message?

Well, I was redirected to IG.com to create a new account, and it suggested the DK site instead of UK. That problem I had before, when trying to create a 2nd account..they will reject the application because I did it on UK site. It also recognized me as already having an account. I called IG again and now it was not allowed to have multiple account.. O_o Anyway lets see what happens.
…Still no answer from IG..
I just have a question, do you have CFD or Spread betting account with IG Market(I mean Real money account)?
Because, when I was opened my account 6 month ago, the IG open for me only CFD account and suggest me – for “Spread betting account”

I trying to open new account, but No result, the IG Market system returned with:
“It looks like you already have an account”.

Yes I have a real IG CFD account. As suspected they turned down the UK application and directed me to the Swedish site. It’s correct that when you are in the system it will recognize you as already being a customer- but they received the application. I have called every time I tried this. Status is now a pending application in the Nordic region
Status. Danish application denied- they do not have an agreement with PRT. Swedish application pending…. *sign*
