    Hi all.

    In market conditions like that you can honestly get filled anywhere. IG guaranteed stops are really worth their weight in gold if you can use them. Most markets you only have to pay a tick.

    Other ways to protect yourself is out the money options as a hedge.

    Ive traded direct with the exchanges and the fills you can get on stop over volatile periods can be horrific and seem them wipe peoples trading accounts out. And they can bust trades. They dont offer guaranteed stops.

    Be aware of the news and whats going on, any tech trader who says news is priced in, show him your IG fills, as its just as bad in the underlying market.

    I heard months ago that it will be possible.. but I don’t know when. Remember that it is an IG feature. I’ll try to get more information on this, hold on 🙂

    I’m not the type of person that likes to use overused terms but if Guaranteed Stops can be placed via PRT systems that would be a serious Game Changer. I’m not aware of other platforms that have this option.

    I use IG, and edit my stop order to guaranteed via their platform. Hopefully will be available on PRT soon, if you use a broker that offers them.
