Fix windows size of Graph

  Is it possible to fix the size of the windows because each time I run the BackTest I have to readjust the windows?

  Sometimes I don’t know how it’s done but I end up with two Graph windows, how can I have 2 or 3 windows to display different values whose measurement scales are very far apart so that I don’t have to resize the windows

  I agree!

  Sizes of windows and positions of GRAPH variables (ends up at the bottom under price curve) and Positions against equity curve (can be under the equity curve at times, but then at other times can end up at the bottom under price curve) and a few other things have been a frustrating mess for quite a while now!

  I’ve held off flagging it up as I am dearly hoping all these annoyances will have been sorted in v12??

  (BTW this post should be in the Platfrom Support Forum if we are to have any hope of anybody from PRT seeing / reading it). 

  Hopefully a MOD will move it?

  The question was rather: does it exist in a setting that I don’t know, now if it doesn’t exist and it should be placed in the queries then yes why not

  Looking at your screenshot in your OP, you are referring to the horizontal sections which appear at all random vertical height?? This annoyance does seem to have got worse in the last few months??

  It would be great if there were ‘an adjuster / setting’ so that we set our peferred heights for our workspace, but alas one does not exist. If anybody knows something we don’t then please tell us??

  Wider Issues

  Many of the windows on PRT are unable to be fixed to a size.  It is like time has stood still in the development of these windows?

  We have to constantly resize (drag the edges) or restore down / maximise only to find that next time we use that window we have do it all over again!  I’ve tried saving after resizing but the ‘resize’ does NOT get saved.

  Many thousands of times I’ve had to do above during the 7 years I have been using PRT.

  PeterSt and myself have brought it to the attention of PRT, now – as new blood – it’s your turn DeCaff! 😉

  This is exactly what I am looking to do, fix the horizontal heights

  And do you know how to make 2 different windows appear with graphics, sometimes I don’t know how I manage to see 2 different windows superposed?

  If you right click whilst cursor is on any Chart then there is an option ‘Duplicate Chart’.

  Also there is likely a keyboard shortcut which maybe you are pressing / using for another reason, but you are getting a Duplicated Chart instead of what you wanted!!??

  Get some caffeine down you and it will all be fine, or better still, a few beers then you won’t even notice the frustrations!!! 😉
