We were all once naive and overestimated ourselves.

Max Drawdown is only 6.44% while runup max is 1190% (and this is only the gentle version of this Algo, as it is running only a fixed position size). I'm afraid I don't understand the insinuation, but it's certainly because I'm deluding myself... ?!
Well this is one of my more stable ones, i had to start/stop because of errors so i dont have real time data for live from more than october 2025, but included backtest from 2007, green line in chart is when i went live with it. Happy with results, however this likes to hold over a few days and the overnight cost is insane… So the IG results are not as good as PRT results..
The attached backtest is V6 and the live results are V5. The entry/exit are exactly the same, but the price target and stop loss for V6 are ATR based, while V5 are fixed. they are giving 95% same results to be honest. Im running both versions live at the moment.. I just dont have alot of data for V6 live to show here because again i had to start and stop..
included some more history of older versions or change of amount of contracts:
i dont have older data because i had to create a new IG account in 2023 to get premium.
lamaille, you will not understand until you went live with you (weird) algo for couple of months and have blown up your account. it is so easy to be blinded by backtest.
further more one needs to understand why broker‘s agents create such threads like this one. in their interest is not your wealth, but theirs.

I must be misreading / misunderstanding what you are saying above?
I created this Thread and I can assure you I am not any form of broker’s agent??

Come on GraHal… It’s more than the time to say the truth :-))))

Maybe the confusion arises because of your email address ending in @investment_account…??

Ha weird that as my email address linked to the PRC website does not have @investment_account, nor investment_account@ nor even grahal@ in it.

I have seen it years ago already. Some kind of angle from the PRC website. Maybe now it becomes more profound, mr Broker …
haha
GraHal, Investment_account is the profile name you chose about 10 years ago when you create your account. That’s why it’s how the website recognises you for features as mention or profile URL page.
Say It Ain’t So GraHal… Larry Fink? You can’t deny anymore that you are behind BlackRock from the begining. 🙂
Investment_Account has somehow come from my email account I use for this site (and as a login to many other investing / trading websites).
As my screen name / display name is GraHal, it would make more sense if my profile name appeared as @GraHal or @grahal … this would save me being confused with broker spies etc! 🙂
I have just been on my profile page and I cannot change Investment_Account.
When you get a minute Nicolas, feel free to change Investment_Account to GraHal please.
