Hi traders.
I think this has been brought up before, but I can’t find the thread, so here it goes again.
When comparing data on a 1D TF with tradingview I found several indifferences. here is an example.
2015 DAX may 20th. tradingview has an inside bar, prt does not because of high of 20. is higher that the 19th in PRT. In tradingview the high of the 20th is lower than the 19th- thus an inside bar.
Also when looking in the chart the 21th may is completely off from trading view.
Is there some setting I did not set correctly?
They should be the same data, right? – so which is the correct, PRT or Tradingview?
cheers Kasper
No one is correct. It’s CFDs. Decentralized quotes made by brokers.

Prices are indicative only (as they say)
as for DAX and other indices IG have a mix of both the future and the cash to get the price of the cfd
its not all bad
i remeber once a couple of years ago i had a position in DAX and suddenly the price spiked down in a flash crash and i get stopped out at the low and i checked the future FDAX at eurex and its was valid and i thought that was it
but then i get a mail from IG that they had revised the trades because the cash had never been down as much as the future so that time i did get a better fill then the FDAX traders on eurex
Well I need to confess. I was looking at the wrong tradingview chart. It was DAX futures, so there for it’s not the same.
