A question about MarketPlace Trials

  I have recently Taken atrial of a Marketplace Algo which the vendor had recently updated . I feel that the Algo that I got was the previous version , not the updated version .

  Is this possible .? Are all versions of an Algo retained on the Marketplace Masterfile ?

  Most accurate answer should be be from the MP Vendor of the algo you are trialling?

  Was the date you received your trial Algo before the date of the updated version?

  It turned out that the issue was caused by how I set the Timezone .

  The Vendor algo had to be activated on UTC+0

  Even though the 2 methods of setting time zone give different backtests ,would you expect that for Live trading the results would be the same .

  Also why should the 2 methods  give different backtest results ?

  Yes Platform Timezone settings can effect Algo results both in Demo and in Live.

  Depends on what is in the code as to the extent that results would differ using a Timezone setting different from Timezone intended / set by the code author.
