I’m wondering if it could be ghost of older version, in which maybe what is now “hour” used to be “h”, and keyword would have changed but not withdrawn from forbidden names list? Just suspecting this because it’s the same thing with “mn”, it can’t be used as a variable name, yet in current language the reserved keywords are made from “minute” not “mn”. Or maybe they are reserved just in case there is a desire to introduce them as a time unit in future version? Or “we” can’t use it, but h and mn are used in an intermediate language between the simplified version made easy for us, and the compiled version, and us using them would create bugs when compiling? Just guessing, I have no info…

We are alike, I do the same! I did try a variation A24 so then I know the variable is on Line 24 as I have trouble reading that thin watery grey no contrast font in the coding window and so I get frustrated trying to find my A, B or C !!! 🙂
It would be good if values (range & steps) could be stored somehow (in a personal file), and then typing in A / ** would bring up 5 to 50 in steps of 5 for example?
I wish I had a pound for every time we say … it would be good! 🙂
I have to be in a positive mood to even suggest improvements to PRT as I feel like I am sending to a black unresponsive hole!
As you can see I am not feeling positive today! 🙁
I should be positive though, I’ve taken over 70 points today manual trading DAX using the IG New Platform. Since I disabled my Live PRT Platform (trying to stop for the summer!) I’ve been using the IG Platform! 🙂
PS Ooops sorry 48 points gain as I just checked on IG History, funny how you forget the losers!? 🙂 🙂
06/13/2018 at 6:51 PM #73125GraHal – you know you have been coding for too long when you have to start squinting and blinking to read the screen. If it isn’t a Eureka! moment by then then it is time to go outside and stare at something a long way away.
As for PRT and suggestions. I think we all just have to chill out and accept that it is a slowly moving black hole. Things do happen. Not normally in our order of priority but they slowly happen. Look just today we now have email alerts telling us a strategy has stopped or may be stopped soon. That is fantastic progress (unless you are asleep at the time the email comes through I guess!) We all know that the priority is to not have strategies stop at all but this is progress of sorts in the right direction.
I’m not sure that your idea of a summer off is working out quite how you intended – but hey 48 pips is 48 pips you can now afford to lose tomorrow not trading!

Yeah I’ll try it, but we haven’t all got a poop deck to stand on and stare at far off Greek islands or maybe lovely ladies sunbathing!? 🙂
just today we now have email alerts
Just typical now I’ve disabled my Live Platform! 🙂
I agree it is encouraging to get new features, just wish we knew when some of the longstanding frustrations will be sorted.
Anyway it must be well into your drinking time, so enjoy! 🙂
