What time is it?

I have been trying to write a few lines of code in ProBuilder that will perform buy/sell during the first hour of the Dow Jones opening.

My question is do I set the entry time as 09:30 i.e. the local time in New York for ProOrder to run automatically, or do I set the opening time to 14:30 which is the opening time in the UK at the time of coding?

    Thank you in anticipation,

If you have your Platform set to local UK time, GMT  / UTC (all the same) then code for a 14:30 start to the NY Market.

I quite like to have this clock page open so that at a glance I can see what time it is in London (my preferred trading time zone) and which markets are open, about to open or about to close:

    https://market24hclock.com/?set_time_zone=%2B1

You can change the time used in the settings. The little hand points to which markets are open and the current time in your chosen time zone.

    GMT  / UTC

UK is UTC + 1 currently as we are running BST.
Noticed above after looking at the clock link.
Vonasi needs the 24 hour clock so he can plan dips in the Med, fishing for supper then washing the poop deck down in readiness for a beer or ten while he plans which Greek island to sail to tomorrow!!! 🙂 🙂

At the moment it is more like needing the clock to check what time the next thunder storm is due to arrive so that I can be ready to make sure the anchor isn’t dragging or that any other boats aren’t dragging into me. This sailing life isn’t all beer and skittles you know. Sometimes it is just beer!
