    If you authored the code today then you would optimise variables so why not optimise the code that was authored last year, 2 years ago etc??  Why use code that was ‘set up’ for Price Action 2 years ago when that Price Action is not happening now / today / this week?  This is why we need to optimise regularly … when performance drops off.

    I tryed the algo with the optimisation, tks you, it’s goods to understand, sometime time have an entry for exemple at X price, and the TARGET %PROFIT is at 0.3 so +0.3% the trade is closed, but if we let the trade open we can win more While the stop loss is not even touched,

    also I I opened a new topic to talk about this strategy and why not understand it better and improve it

    Maybe, but can you sleep soundly if when you went to bed your trade was in a 2% (for example) drawdown / loss?

    tks to all your answers Grahal,

    • if the trade is 2% drawdown and we stay positif no problem
    • if the 2% of drawdown on my trade, if it was a pre-calculated risk also there is no problem
    • If our position is in Break Haven and we are a long way from our entrance then why worry, as Jesse Lauriston Livermore said: What’s the point of worrying about money you didn’t have yesterday
    • If you are an elephant hunter and you only shoot one to three bullets per year, then a 2% risk on your capital …..

    for all other situation if you are 2% negatif is a problem 😁

    I don’t trade FOREX, started out doing so, then for a year or 2 traded DAX and since, for about 3 years, I trade mainly DJI.

    Easiest way to understand code is to run it in Demo and use GRAPH of the conditions and then study the price in relation to any Indicators which are part of Conditions etc etc.

    If you have any specific questions then, I and others, would be only too glad to answer on here.

    I don’t understand your meaning about using graphe, I’m already using graphe and can see entry and exit price on the graphe, and I’m using my real account disconnected from IG to do the back test, maybe they an other way ?

    also if you can share some working strategy for dax or other indice like nasdaq or sp500 for study it and why not inprove it

    Hoooo, ok ok, I tried that more then one years ago, today I don’t especialy need it, but tks for the memory, but I also tryed it just right now for try on my real account and it’s not working on real account ? So it’s possible only in Demo account ?

    You would need to translate the error message as I can’t copy and paste into a translator.

    Post Line 11 may be easier and quicker we may spot the error in the code?
