Hi! Has anyone had a chance to sample v13 as of yet? Jealous it was not made available to IBKR API users yet. Would very much appreciate any feedback. Thanks!
How do you know anybody has v13 beta yet?
I haven’t … in case you are wondering! 😉
I received an invite via email to get access to it, but after a couple of days of not being able to access, or even find the “link to access”, I inquired and was informed that the email was possibly sent to me in error. After checking with support, agent confirmed that v13 beta version was not yet made available to IBKR API users.
Hello, the beta of V13 is available only for non-trading accounts that were created directly on ProRealTime’s website. If you have one of those you can send them a message through the “Contact us” page to ask for the beta to be activated for you.
ask for the beta to be activated for you.
Does above apply if one has only the end of day data version direct with PRT?
During v13 beta … does that mean that PRT will be more receptive to fixing bugs before final release?
Surely Yes, so as many of us as can, need to test v13 beta if we want as bug free v13?
I admit to not testing previous beta versions, I thought only PRT-selected users would be beta-Testers.
Seems, from what RafaelN says above than any of can test beta v13. It is in our best interests to do so?
Is someone have any information about v13 beta ? I dont find anything about.
is any changement about probuilder langage comportment ? (string, array, function, other)
is any changement about probuilder langage comportment ? (string, array, function, other)
Strings:
This is not a feature we plan to introduce in the near future. Supporting string variables would require a major overhaul of how variable types are currently managed in the language.
Array Support:
Array support has been available for several years now and is fully integrated into the language.
Functions:
Yes, user-defined functions are coming! They are not yet available in the current Beta version, but are expected to be released toward the end of the year.
Other Notable Updates in v13:
Version 13 brings a significant overhaul of the platform’s design and user experience, including many UI/UX optimizations. It also features a completely redesigned and enhanced Options module.
New! Major Improvements to the Programming Workflow
-
-
The code editor (IDE) has been rebuilt from the ground up, allowing you to open and work with multiple codes simultaneously using a split view (horizontal or vertical) and tabs!
-
You can now develop indicators, screeners, and strategies all within the same editor.
-
A new tree view has been introduced to manage all your saved codes within your platform account. You can create custom folders, organize and sort your files, making code management much easier and more efficient.

do you know if in v13 will be possible to create auto-strategies which are comparing or using different markets or indices ?
Thanks in advance for your kind reply

Hello everyone, I notice that in the Options module there is no possibility of managing orders as "combo orders" both at opening and especially at closing, losing sight of the final result of the strategy to be placed on the market or placed on the market with limit orders. Furthermore, always simulating the operations, I notice that by inserting combo strategies (vertical spread, iron condor, etc.) the platform seems to take into account the options sold and the options purchased for the margin calculation, and it is not clear anywhere how much that combo order is committing margin on the overall portfolio. Lastly, I note that at the moment it does not take into account the intrinsic leverage of the options, so when buying or selling an option (on American stocks: spy, qqq, etc.) the multiplication factor of 100 is not applied but remains fixed at 1, which would distort the real operation if it were to go to market. The graphics are excellent for representing the strategies… always need improving the combo orders, it makes no sense to have to reassemble them once placed on the market to check whether the strategy is going (or not) in the direction studied. I'm very happy that Prorealtime has finally revised the options module, the previous one didn't allow for the flexibility that this one already shows… I'm eagerly awaiting the module to be operational and stable so that I can use it with trading on the real market, but always after the appropriate modifications. Bye Davide
